Post-script
The day after his angry outburst, Archie apologised to the club and the supporters.  Later that week, the deal was finalised, and Archie went off to Holland on a six-month loan deal.  He played one last game for Melbourne Victory before leaving and scored the only goal in Melbourne's one-nil away win against Queensland Roar.  Despite only playing fifteen games out of a possible twenty-one,  Archie was one of four leading scorers in the first season of the A-League (with eight goals).

Good luck in Germany at the World Cup, Archie!
