This year's Champions' League final will be a replay of the 2005 match-up as Liverpool and AC Milan both fought through to the final game.  Liverpool beat Chelsea 1-0 to tie the scores on aggregate befor e winning 4-1 on penalties while the Italians shattered United's hopes with a comprehensive 3-0 win at the San Siro.  United can console themselves , however, with the Premiership as they have virtually clinched the title after beating Manchester United 1-0.

In the UEFA Cup, Sevilla are on line to defend their title after beating Osasuna 2-1 on aggregate.  They will face Espanol who easily accounted for Werder Bremen.
