In the UEFA Champions' League semi-final first leg, Wayne Rooney scored a last-minute goal to give Manchester United a 3-2 win at home to AC Milan, while Joe Cole's goal gave Chelsea a 1-0 win at home to Liverpool. 

In the Asian Champions' league, Adelaide are out after a 1-0 defeat against Seongnam Chunma, but Sydney FC are still in with a chance of qualifying after thrashing Persik Kediri 3-0 in Paramatta.

Manchester United came back from 2-0 down to beat Everton 4-2.  With Chelsea being held to a 2-2 draw by Bolton, the Reds have taken a big step towards the Premiership title.  United and Chelsea will also clash in the FA Cup Final on May the 19th.
