13 at Thomas Dale L 2-1 The Lady Chiefs open their season with a non-conference loss against Thomas Dale. A lackluster first half left the Chiefs down 2 goals by half-time. The second half the Lady Chiefs battled back but it was not enough for the victory. The Chiefs kept the Knights scoreless in the second half. Hallie Rogers scored an unassisted goal to put the Chiefs on the scoreboard. Line score from InRich.com.

18 at L.C. Bird W 4-3 Tonight we played LC Bird. We were off to a good start in the first half being ahead 3-1 with Lindsey Hill scoring the first, Hallie Rogers scoring second and Abby Fuller scoring the third. Bird picked up another 2 goals in second half bringing it 3-3. We went into two five minute overtimes. On the second five minute with less than two minutes left Hallie Rogers obtained the ball and passed to Lindsey Hill for the winning goal. All and all the chiefs played an awesome game!

20 MANCHESTER L 3-1 The Lady Chiefs played well but could not pull it off. Manchester scored their first goal in the second half, and Monacan followed with Hallie Rogers scoring one for Monacan. Ending score was Manchester 3 and Monacan 1. Very physical game but this is always the case between these two teams. Monacan definitely played well and actually had more shots on goal than Manchester but could not get them through. Even though Monacan struggles with injuries they are playing their well.

    13 at Thomas Dale W 1-0 The JV squad opened the 2008 campaign with a well deserved victory of Thomas Dale. The Lady Knights goalkeeper managed a series of great saves until Susan Teasley broke the deadlock after being put through by a great buildup from Rachel Grover and Amber Evans. Defensively, the backline of Michelle Bowse, Emily Powers, Savannah Moxley, and Christina Martin did not allow Dale a single shot on Stephanie Honor's goal.

    20 MANCHESTER W 3-0 The JV team did exceptionally well tonight. Winning over Manchester 3-0. Susan Teasley scored the first and second goal with Amber Dewey scoring the 3rd with a great cross from Erin Coiley. Manchester just could not keep up with us.

      9 CLOVER HILL W 2-0 The Lady Chiefs continued their winning streak with a victory over Clover Hill tonight. High pressure on the Clover Hill backline from Susan Teasley resulted in her 4th goal of the season. The Chiefs continued to pour pressure on the Clover Hill defense but could not find the target until Rachel Grover scored her first of the season from a corner in the late second half. The Lady Chiefs backline once again stood firm to record their third straight shut out.

    11 at James River L 1-0 The Lady Chiefs lost a heartbreaker against James River tonight going down 1-0. The Chiefs attacked relentlessly from the start but were denied by the post and a string of good saves from the Rapids GK. The increase in temperature seemed to take a toll on the Chiefs during the second half. A late scramble in the Monacan penalty area resulted in a scrappy goal for James River. Codi Gordon made several excellent saves but the usually water tight Monacan defense could not keep out the Rapids.

    15 at Douglas Freeman W 4-1 The Lady Chiefs returned to winning ways with a 4-1 rout of Douglas Freeman. The Chiefs broke through several times in the first but could not find the finishing touch until Erin Coiley scored off an excellent cross from Rachel Grover. The Rebels quickly responded with a goal off a well taken set piece outside the box. A deflection in the box let the ball fall kindly to a Freeman player who slotted in the empty corner. The second half saw the Chiefs storm back with one of their best performances of the season. Lindsay Waldron and Brittany Allen led the Chiefs midfield and completely shut down the Rebels offense. Waldron crashed in her first of the season from a 25 yarder into the top corner. Emily Powers also scored her first of the season when her long range effort skimmed off a Freeman head and fell over the keeper into the bottom corner. Waldron added a second a few minutes later with another 25 yard lob. Savannah Moxley led an inspired Chiefs backline to keeping the Rebels to no shots in the second half.
