Preview
From the Richmond Times-Dispatch, March 19, 2002
Pre-season region rank: No. 10
Monacan coach Mike Gill has his work cut out if he wants the Chiefs to reach the level of success they achieved when he minded the nets for them in the early 1990s. He does have seven players back from last year's 5-6-3 squad. Newcomers Taylor Wright, who sat out last year with an injury, and Todd Winfree, a transfer, may prove intriguing additions to the squad. Gill predicts big things from them, especially Wright, who seems to have a nose for goal. Andrew Bochman, who played every minute last year, returns in goal.
