Chapter 7
At the dinner table the King and Queen sat on both ends of the long table. Christian and Stacy sat across from each other in the middle.
So, where are you from Stacy? Asked the King. Um Stacy had started, but Christian interrupted. Shes from that little village in town. Oh, what a lovely little place that is! You must have loved living there. The Queen gushed. Uhh Yes I did. It was so beautiful around Christmas too. Stacy said. The Queen smiled remembering her childhood of visiting family on Christmas when she was little. When they were well into the dinner the Queen had told Stacy stories of when she was little and all her memories of the small village.
When everyone had left for their respected rooms, the King and Queen were in a pleasant discussion. That girl was lovely, now wasnt she? The King asked his wife. Just perfect. She seemed to get along with Christian quite well. Mentioned the Queen. Yes, she did. You know my dear shes respectful, polite, grateful, pleasant company, and very graceful. She would make a perfect wife for Christian. Said the King. I believe youre right, dear, The Queen agreed. It settled then, Christian will marry Stacy in the next month.
