Tara walked up to William's door, but turned when she heard someone crying. She looked around the corner and saw William sitting on the floor with his head in his arms while they were wrapped around his knees. " What's matter William?" Tara asked him. *Sniff* " I have to go back home early, because my life sucks!" William cried. Tara sat down next to him and hugged him. William hugged her back and wouldn't let go. "Don't worry, everything will be fine. You would have had to go home sometime, anyway." She said. " Yeah, I would." William said sniffling. Tara got up and picked William up with her. She had her arm around William trying to confort him as they walked back to his room. William wiped his tears away and sat on his bed. " Hey, don't feel bad. I won't be here in 5 days from now for you to spend time with if you stayed for your full vacation." Tara told him. " I guess." He said quietly. " Oh, cheer up. You get to see your family and your friends again." She said. " But I'm going to miss you." He said back to her. " Don't worry about it, I can still e-mail you, you can call me and so on." She said. " Ok, but you better answer when I call or e-mail you." William said. " I will. I check my e-mail every day so if you e-mail me every day, you'll get an answer from me every day." Tara said. Tara gave him her e-mail address and phone number while he did the same for her. That night William packed his luggage with Tara's help and got an a plane back to England. The next 5 days were boring for Tara. She would go swimming, shopping and do other things alone. Her family didn't really mind if she did things on her own, but they would make her come with them places every once in a while. When she got home she went straight to her computer and checked her e-mail. There were 3 e-mails from William. One of them said this: Hi Tara, I miss you so much!!!! Everything back in England seems so boring. You made my vacation on of the funnest times I've had in years. Me mates are wondering who corrupted their ol' pal Wills I keep telling them that I met no one during my vacation, becauase I didn't know if you wanted me to tell anyone about you. Write back soon,
Your mate William. |
