My 2001
Archive
July
My cave
I hear the piano song
in a passing wind
calling for monsoons
to clean the soul within.
To look upon the fields of gold
Embrace the sleeping sky
holes pin the sheet
I throw forever high.
I long for the grass
holding the rolling hills
the moss filled valley
and water so still.
That calmness
in coldness.
That altitude
of solitude....

Blue vase
In silence
I find you
talking to me
about the world
Dancing goals
blue vase you held.
In the ocean
I hold you
warm salty kiss
over my skin
flightful answers
to cover our sins.
I come to you,
1,2,3,4
I fly for you,
5,6,7,8
I then crash....
In the fields
I lose you
to the grain
charmed by your song
moving to the wind
skies stretch forever long.

August
The story of life
Body stripped of fur
heart stripped of life...
This is the call of the lone soul
dry sands never hold.
Again it stands,
into the winds,
to drink the life
now only within.
Guilt is all that is left
for the beast of tomorrow.
to rip into the Earth
for all to follow.
Again it stands,
defy the winds,
empty the cup of life
marbleized fin.
All forgot
All forgot
All forgot
All lost......

Voices
The pain
drives within me,
like a storm
tormenting seas.
Yet I paint
with mouth zipped,
so that it's ego
can better be tipped.
This is my calling-
of year 2000 and 1
my only end
after all is said and done.
So please excuse me,
while my mind lay dead.
Do not expect an apology
for all that you said.
.....I cannot hold it.

September
The mess of the mass.
I envision
the past lost,
the mess of the mass
and soil tossed..
The green freeway
to the city of blue.
A country of silence
for the mass to chew.
The teeth...
a birthmark...
And heart warm
in a song-lark.
...Beware the gate...

Victorian dream-land
Where are you my Victorian
dream-land
-All my imagination would
dare.
Whispers of promised
tomorrows
carried so softly along the
air.
Last time I held you
-lost were all the dreams.
Silence owned the sweeping
breeze.
Did you lose against their
teams?
I remember us dancing
along the colours of sunsets,
with energy of the youth
and with nothing need said.
What happened to you in my
absence?
Who polluted your crystal
streams?
How I long for you again,
my Victorian land of dreams.

5 elements
The kind of loneliness,
you find
In a room full of people
who don't know your name.
The kind of crowdedness
you find
alone on a street
amidst peek hour.
That kind of depression
felt by
a child learning
from a text book of a
different tongue.
That kind of sadness
owned by
a young child
watching the death of a
flower.
-These are the five elements
of the chain which binds me.
-There are the five elements
of the cocktail which denies
me.

October
For a wedding
To find a soul,
to whom you share your own.
With that soul
with whom love finds home.
Of festival
of hearts delight.
The wing of cupid-
the love child takes flight.
In your marriage
love bells sound.
We are wishing you
love of endless bound.

The way of the
monkey.
"Bugger me!"
scowled the monkey
as it got up
after falling from the tree.
Holding it's head
it slowly said,
"A fall like that,
I'm glad I'm not dead!"
His belly, then a
beast
Ordering a feast
"To fill myself
forgetting for now at least."
And so is the way of
the monkey.

November
Gravity
of words
Falling
into breaths
the soul pool I dive
immersed in her essence
seeds within her hive.
Looking
into blackened windows:
Without even a reflection of my own:
satin night sheets my heart:
suffocating the fish in rose oil.
I
fear you;
like fearing the wings and chains alike...
In
rock pools and dreams of funnel leaves
I find your lips
you eyes.
In
the daze state of wakeful sleep
I am owned by death
by life.
In
hands of millions hold me
scared to open eye
afraid of myself- a sheet
until the day I die.
Do
you hear....
understand the gravity of graphite danced pleas...
The wind waltzes with the hair
over the mind no-one sees.

To shine again
To shine again
On open paths
that whined forever
like sea snakes
in turbulent waters.
The wing
-metallic freedom
angels heart
my soul
in the endless.
Alas the bear trap
that caught the hare
to die in coming snow
without reason
without cause.

December
A
Christmas Poem
With
a tree up high
and beer kept cool
out
comes the barbie-
out comes the stools.
All
the family
and
close friends
an Aussie day
with heat- never ends.
We sing and dance
the Christmas cheer
eat pudding
and toast with beer.
This is the Aussie way
to share the festive mood
with all the rellies drunk
singing out of tune!

Calling
I
hear the unspoken voices
Things must change
For all our magic and gifts
We'll still die within chains.
Our eyes pinned shut
and soul drowned
while the songs of life
still offer their sounds.
There is right hidden
In all the wrong
and humanity still has a lot to learn
in the words of life's songs.
Join
me
I beg of you
Let's- together- learn something new.
Open eyes
and joyful souls
we can enrich tomorrow's dew.
