| How to come to the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ: | |||||||||||||||
| 1. Admit that you are a sinner who deserves the judgment of a holy and just God. 2. Believe that God loves you so much that he sent his Son, Jesus, to rescue you from the problem of sin. 3. Believe that when Jesus died on the cross he paid the penalty for your sins and made your forgiveness possible. 4. Turn from your sins and turn toward God. 5. Trust in Jesus alone for the forgiveness of your sins and for the eternal life He provides. 6. Commit to follow Jesus as the leader of your life. 7. Express these beliefs and commitments sincerely to God inprayer as best you can, and God will keep his promise. He said, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lor will be saved." (Romans 10:13) After you have prayed this prayer, tell a mature Christain about it and ask for some help on how to grow as a Christian. If youhave any questions about becoming a Christian that are not answered above, seek answers from the Bible and a mature Christian. Attend a Bible-believing and teaching church regularly. |

| When I Survey the Wondrous Cross By Isaac Watts When I survey the wondrous cross On which the Prince of Glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ, my God; All the vain things that charm me most-- I sacrfice them to His blood. See, from his head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down; Did e'er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown? Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small: Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all. |
