March 14, 2001 ... we have heard from Texas, and, thank the Good Lord, all is well. For those of you who may not have received the mailing, the first 2 pages are included in the January news portion of your website ... the March portion follows:
Incase you haven't noticed on our home page and our photo album page, there is now a webpage link to pictures of a couple of our youngest family children: JILL and BRAD. Please be sure to visit them.
Dick will be a participant in the Las Vegas St. Patrick's Day parade Saturday. He will be riding on a float, and it will be televised locally, with some portions going out nationally. Perhaps he'll be "discovered" to stardom.

P.S."Computer problems continue. Jack doesn't want to load my word processing software on the new computer because of compatibility questions. After 2 1/2 months of frustration, I finally gave up this week and e-mailed my address file (Michelle helped me find where it was hidden on the new computer) to the office where I could print the labels. Had I done some creative problem solving earlier or just hand written the addresses, this could have gone out long ago, but it's the principal of the thing. Do you get the idea that Jack and I have had more than a few discussions about this?

For advance planning, here is some information wedding plans in case you are considering coming. FYI to my McCall relatives - Texas in the spring is the best time to visit. It's beautiful and cool.

The ceremony is going to be Saturday afternoon, April 28th at 2:00pm at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in north Austin. This is my mother's parish and the one Matt attended when he lived there.

Why Austin? Of course Jack & I both have family there and Matt worked at the Austin ThermoRetec office for a year before he transferred to the Golden, CO branch. Heather's parents lived nearby in San Antonio for many years before being transferred to Utah and most of Matt and Heather's friends are here in Texas.  It has been a little challenging for them to make arrangements but everything is coming together. The kids will live in CO where they both work in the Denver area.

They are planning a B/B/B reception - beer, barbecue and band - (actually a DJ) at the McCord Community Center on the campus of the Austin Presbyterian Seminary which is adjacent to the University of Texas campus.

Matt, Heather and her mother were in Austin around Valentine's Day to make all the final arrangements. It was a hectic visit, going from one appointment to another, but fun with three parties. She was "showered" royally.

Heather had casts on both her arms - maroon and white of course - which made quite a fashion statement. She and Matt were in a snowmobile accident and she had broken both her wrists. (This was after breaking her left wrist last year snowboarding.) Matt was jarred, sore and bruised. They are VERY lucky; it could have been so much worse. Thankfully her casts will be off by the end of March in plenty of time before the wedding.

Rooms have been blocked at the AmeriSuites Arboretum in Austin close to the church site. Rates are $79/night ($150 usually) with no charge for extra guests and includes a free breakfast buffet. The rooms will accommodate 4 or 6 people depending on whether you get two double beds or a king.  Let us know if you wang more information. Call 512-231-8491 for reservations. You can call (omitted  by webmaster for security purposes) or email (same). Check out the hotel website at http://www.amerisuites.com/hotels/ajai.shtml.

Matt and Heather are registered at Crate & Barrel, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and Home Depot. Matt is very excited about his selections at Home Depot, Heather would rather that no one knew. They are registered in Colorado. Look for their registries under Matthew Webre and Heather Fehrman at - Crate & Barrel - 1-800-967-6696 - http://www.crateandbarrel.com/registry/default.asp
Bed, Bath and Beyond - 1-800-GO BEYOND (462-3996) - http://bedbathandbeyond.com/wedd.asp?
Home Depot - no online registry. Ask for a list at your local store.

Had hoped to have the wedding website up by now. It may still happen. Try searching for Fehrman/Webre wedding in April.
