Playgroups, Outings and Special Events
General Outings- We meet at different locations throughout the month to meet the locality needs of all the members.  We frequently visit zoos, parks, and playgrounds in the summer months.  During the colder months we tend to do more museums, indoor playgrounds, toddler roller-skating, mall walking and playgroups.
Playgroups We have many playgroups on our calendar each month.  Most meet in the mornings before nap times.    Our in-home playgroups are small and intimate with about 4 or 5 moms attending.  We typically rotate homes in different towns for these.  Our nursing home playgroups and church based playgroups can hold a larger crowd and we occasionally do a craft, have a party or do something special for the kids.
Special Events. Our events committee tries to organize day trips and tours for a change of pace and a little variety.  Some past trips have included:  The Big E,  Firestation Tours, Big Y tours, Yankee Candle, Pumpkin and apple picking, hayrides for kids, creative movement classes, puppet shows, kid concerts, and magicians.
Holiday Parties and Meet and Greet Parties.  We have numerous holiday parties throughout the year.  Most parties are done pot-luck style and we try to hold them in locations that enables us to accommodate all the members of the club.  We also have meet and greet parties to help members get to know one another.  Once per month we have a tea party playgroup which new or potential members are welcome to join.  Email us for more information.
Other fun stuff for kids Each month we have at least one craft day.    An age appropriate craft is chosen for young children.  Crafts may be messy so be sure to bring a change of clothes or a smock to wear.  The host will post the craft on our message board and set a limit of how many members and children may attend.  Crafts are usually themed with the season or upcoming holiday.
