Community Service Projects
Each year we do several community service projects to give back a little something to the community we live in.  Our projects are usually geared towards helping woman and children.  Generally our projects require very little time and money but mean so much to the recipients.  Participating in these projects offers MOMS a chance to work together as a team, and allows our children an opportunity to learn about showing compassion to others.

2007-2008 Projects
M2M Fund (Mother to Mother Fund).  Our chapter has donated some chapter dues to this organization which helps other MOMS Club members in need around the country.  Many of the recipients have experienced devestating financial difficulties such as losing a home to a fire or perhaps had been victims of hurricanes and floods.

Project SAFE: We collect gently used stuffed animals for project SAFE.  Project SAFE washes and dresses the animals up with bows and ribbons and donates them to fire and police stations to distribute to children who are victims of fires and other disasters.

Soda Bottle Tabs: We are always collecting can tabs to help benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

Ameilia Parks, Westfield Childrens Museum.  The MOMS Club was able to donate a $250 brick to the Childrens museum through club fundraisers and donations!

2004-2007 Community Service Projects
Stroller Walk for Charity: Along with our sister chapter in Springfield, our MOMS and children raised almost $2000.00 for the MS society!

MOMS Club Tag Sale:
Proceeds benefitted a local charity and Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation

Food Baskets:
Canned goods were collected and we donated turkeys to make up a few beautiful gift baskets to give to local needy families for the holidays.

Nursing Home Visits:
The residents love seeing the children play!  Twice a month we hold a playgroup at a local nursing home.  Some residents enjoy the children so much that the only time they leave their rooms is when the MOMS Club comes to visit!

Toy Drive:
New unwrapped toys donated to less fortunate children at Christmas

Tsunami Victim Rescue:
Victims of the Tsunami disaster need food!  It is estimated that over 2 million people in Asia will need donated food for the next 7 months.  Your donations will go directly to the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief fund.  100% of the funds received by the Red Cross will be used to purchase food and goods from the Asian markets to increase their declining economy.   Please email us if you would like to help out!

Friends of the Homeless
- We are collecting winter clothing and personal items to give to the Friends of the Homeless in Springfield.  Bring any non-perishable foods, blankets, personal items, diapers, and especially winter clothing to Hometown Buffet, 935 Riverdale Street in West Springfield and receive a free children's meal ticket.

Hurricane Katrina Relief
:  Club money was donated to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

MOMS club group walk for the March of Dimes
!  We set a goal of raising $2000!  Moms, Kids in strollers and Dads too joined together to have some fun walking for this great cause.  We thank everyone who helped us reach our goal of raising $2000+!

Sunshine Support Group (MOMS Helping MOMS)
Often our club mothers need a little extra support during difficult times such as the birth of a new child or illness in the family.  The MOMS Club members come together and form the Sunshine Group to help these mothers during the difficult adjustment period by providing meals to the family or offering babysitting services as needed.

Toy, Children's Clothing, Baby Items and Maternity Things Swap-
