Who are we?

The International MOMS (MOMS Offering Moms Support) Club was started in 1983 and is an non-profit group designed for the at-home mother providing a variety of activities for moms and their kids.  Children of all ages are welcome at all activities and meetings.

The MOMS Club of Upper Perkiomen Valley, PA, was started in 2003 and draws our members from the Upper Perkiomen School District, encompassing the towns of Green Lane, Red Hill, Pennsburg and East Greenville, as well as the surrounding Upper Hanover and Marlborough Townships in Montgomery County and Hereford, Palm and Zionsville, in Berks County.  Through our service projects, we provide assistance to others in our community.

When do we meet?

We hold our monthly business meeting in the morning on the third Thursday of each month.  Any prospective member is encouraged to attend up to two meetings before joining.  Meetings include speakers on various topics important to parents, such as pre-schools, CPR and financial planning and some that are fun for kids as well, such as fire safety including a visiting fire engine.  Member donated snacks and drinks are available for the kids during the meetings as are toys and coloring books.

What do we do?

There are weekly playgroups, lunches at near-by restaurants, walks and playtime at local parks and playgrounds, mall-walking in the winter, kids’ craft activities, scrapbooking for moms and book, recipe and gardening clubs, as well as outings to area children’s activities (i.e. Crayola Factory, Elmwood Park Zoo).  Our annual Anniversary Luncheon is in June.   We also have a babysitting co-op available for members to join.

Babies and kids of all ages are welcome at all our daytime activities, but once a month, there is a Moms Night Out.  Recent themes have been Spa Night, Fondue Party and Wedding Memories.

We provide assistance to others in the community through service projects.

All this information is available to members through our informative monthly newsletter and calendar.

What does it cost?

The cost for a year’s membership is $20 although this fee will be waived if necessary if financial hardship is demonstrated.  The fee covers the cost of copying and postage for our monthly newsletter as well as subsidizing special occasion celebrations, such as our annual Anniversary Tea and holiday parties.

The babysitting co-op costs $5 per year (or as needed).
