Welcome to MOMS Club of Ellicott City South!

 

Our Club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am. During these meetings we get a chance to socialize, hear about club news and gain knowledge from guest speakers. We have access to a nursery during the meetings for the children, although children are always welcome to attend the meetings.

 

We try to provide speakers that will touch on some important topics in the lives of moms. Some examples of previous Guest Speakers include:

• Your Dinners meal preparation business
  
• Kindermusik demonstration
  
• Health & Wellness coach
  
• Financial advice related to college planning (529s)
  
• Howard County Library - Preschool and early Grade school offerings
  

   

  WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER:
  
  In addition to our great monthly meetings, there are various other benefits to being a member of the MOMS Club.
  

   

  Newsletter:
  Each month a newsletter filled with Club sponsored outings, meetings, ideas, recipes and more will arrive in your email inbox.
  

   

  Outings and Activities:
  Each week there are outings and activites that are geared for you and your little ones to enjoy. We also try to have one outing a month at night called MOMS Night Out. Every other month, our Book Club meets. A calendar & details of each outing is included in the monthly newsletter. Some types of activities we have may include:
  

   

  • Sessions at Columbia Gymnastics & My Gym
    
  • Trips to Clark’s Elioak Farm (petting farm) or Larriland Farm
    
  • Playtime at local parks & playgrounds
    
  • Various Holiday celebrations, usually at a member’s house
    
  • Meeting for breakfast or lunch at a local restaurant or member's house
    
  • Make your own pizza at a local restaurant
    
  • Tours at local facilities, including Home Depot, a fire station, and Krispy Kreme
    
  • Let’s Dish, Dream Dinners, Let's Eat (MOMS Night Out)
    
  • Pottery making (MOMS Night Out)
    

   

  Special Interest Groups:
  If you have a hobby we have a group for you! Special interest groups include our Book Club, which meets on the third Thursday night every other month. What better way to exchange ideas and make new friends? Got a hobby that you want to share with others? Great! You can help us start a new special interest group!
  

   

  Playgroups:
  Playgroups are the very lifeblood of our Club! They offer the best social interaction anyone can ask for. Ask any club member, and they will tell you that some of their closest friendships were formed through Club playgroups. Most groups meet weekly; however, some of our newer playgroups meet bi-weekly or even monthly. Playgroups rotate at each member's house or at an outside activity. Each playgroup is formed by matching children’s ages.
  

   

  Sunshine Coordinator:
  If you have recently given birth, have had surgery, or are on bedrest, the Sunshine Coordinator will organize meals provided by members for you and your family. "Moms Offering Moms Support!"
  

   

  Service Projects:
  Part of our Club's goals includes giving back to the community. We conduct at least one, or more, service projects throughout the year in order for us to assist those around us. In the past we have Adopted-A-Family at the holidays, made bagged lunches for the homeless in our area, collected food for the Maryland Food Bank, and collected blankets for Project Linus.
  

   

  Monthly book exchange:
  Are you looking for some new reading material, or do you have a book you would love to share? Our monthly book exchange is the answer for you. At our monthly meetings you can bring books that you want to share with the other members. You can choose to give it away or just lend it out. This is also great for children's books!!
  

   

  Make New Friends:
  Becoming an active member of the MOMS Club is a great way to network with other moms that have similar interests. You will get out of the Club what you put into it - so get involved now, and make new friends for you and your children!
