Following are brief descriptions of some of our regular Club activities. Kids are welcome at everything!
Park Day
Usually held once a week (weather permitting), meet other Moms in a local park while the kids play.
Coffee Hour
This is an opportunity to get together and chat with other Moms at local coffee houses; this is also usually held once a week.
Story Time
Meet at one of the area libraries or at Barnes & Noble Booksellers for story time and other story-related activities.
Wharf of Wonder
Enjoy one of the popular features of Mobile's Exploreum.
Pump-it-Up
Let the kids expend some energy!
Kids Craft
Often scheduled to coincide with holidays/celebrations, these are simple things that the kids can do/make with the Moms.
Recipe Club
Usually centered around a theme or a particular meal, meet at a member's house to share the themed creations and the recipes. Come hungry!
Moms' Night Out
Held on various nights of the week, this is an opportunity for the Moms to get together during the evening and enjoy the company of the other members.
Used Toy Sale
To benefit our service project(s), members donate used toys to be purchased by other members.
Parties (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc.)
The holiday-themed parties feature snacks, games, crafts, and activities for the kids and Moms to enjoy.
Spring Consignment Sale
Also to benefit our service project(s), members donate baby and maternity clothes to be purchased by other members.
End-of-the-Year Banquet
"The Changing of the Guard" - an evening out to celebrate the past year and wish the new Board well. This is usually held in late spring.
Fall Bazaar
To benefit our service project, local vendors and at-home business people set up booths to sell their products. The Club donates baked goods to be "sold" for donations, and the vendors donate door prizes. The booth fee goes 100% to the service project. This event has become our main fund-raising activity.
