Coffee Chat: Twice a month we meet at a local coffee shop with a play scape or on Lake Austin. Enjoy an adult drink while the kids enjoy some fun. Dining Divas: Once a month we meet at a local restaurent for dinner. This provides great support for those of us who frequently eat alone with our children. Backyard Bash: This event is seasonal. This is a great opportunity to enjoy some outdoor fun. Craft Day: Once a month we get creative and schedule a craft day! The crafts are easy & fun for kiddos of various ages. Cost is typically $1.00. Lunch Bunch: Once a month we meet up at a child-friendly restaurant where the kids can play and eat an early lunch. Field Trips: Pack up your kid(s) and get ready for some sight-seeing. Examples of community field trips have included the fire station, children's museum, zoo, bowling alley, Sea World, and the pumpkin patch. Park Day: Three times a month we schedule a park day for our members. We meet at various parks within the area to give the kids a chance to play with each other. MOMS Night Out: Once a month we get out of the house and share a little "moms-only" conversation. Most of us leave our children home but children are welcome to come if need be. MNO could include bowling, dinner, a movie, or some other fun activity. Playgroups: This is a great opportunity to get your kid(s) together with a small group of children his/her own age. Playgroups also offer a great opportunity for moms to meet on a regular basis for support and to develop lasting friendships. Story Time: This event occurs a couple times a month. Meet at local bookstores to hear an exciting story Monthly Business Meetings: Once a month we hold a business meeting to discuss and vote on upcoming events. Generally, we meet on the first Tuesday of the month. You are welcome to attend two meetings before joining. Service Projects: We believe that giving back to the community is one of the most important things we can do! Not only are you making a difference for someone in need, but through action you are teaching your children to give back as well. In order for these projects to be successful, we need the support of all our members. Our latest project is to benefit the Austin Children's Shelter. In March, we threw a baby shower as a way to collect items from our MOMS Club� members to help supply the Austin Children's Shelter with much needed items such as diapers, baby clothes, and baby wipes. |
