Our activities calendar is the backbone of the MOMS Club. The calendar will include a variety of activities and events offered on different days and at different times.
 

Park Play Dates
As soon as the weather is nice we head for the many area parks. Having lots of kids for your children to play with makes the park all the more fun!

Indoor Gym Play Dates
When the weather isn’t so nice we head for some of the many indoor gyms, such as Boomer, Oasis, Kids Quest, ACAC and the local YMCAs. This gives kids who have been cooped up a chance to use those large motor skills in a safe and fun environment.

Theme Parties
Most months there is a themed party at one of the member’s homes. Summer parties include sprinkler and baby pool parties; past winter parties have included a pajama party, movie morning, paint a pumpkin and other seasonal favorites.

Story Time
We are lucky to have many local book stores and libraries that offer story times on different days and for different age groups. Going with other moms makes story time more fun for both mom and child.

Lunch Bunch
Each month we schedule at least one lunch at a local, kid-friendly restaurant. Watch as the wait staff gasps and owners cheer when a large group of young children enter a restaurant. We often combine the lunch with other activities such as story times.

Member Coffees
We schedule at least one Member Coffee each month; many months we have two or three. Sometimes there are at local coffee shops, and sometimes at a member’s home. It is a great chance for moms to talk and children to play together.

Mom’s Night Out
Each month we schedule one Mom’s Night Out. This is a very popular event whether we head for a local restaurant, a member’s home or some other local point of interest.

Infant Get Togethers
This is a chance for those moms with babies to meet each other and have a special outing just for them.

Tours and Field Trip
This is a great way to provide enrichment for your child. Past tours have included:

• Herr's potato chip factory (warm potato chips, yum!)
• The Crayola Factory
• Picking local, seasonal produce at a farm
• Behind the scenes of a doughnut shop
• The Zoo, both Brandywine and Philadelphia
• Local pet stores
• Nature walks
• Winterthur’s Enchanted Garden
• Longwood Garden, any time of year there is wonderful offerings for children
• Fire House Tours
• Veterinary Center Tours
• Grandma’s Attic - Wilmington
• And many, many more……..

Holiday Parties
These seasonal parties are among the most highly attended events on the calendar, some past events have been October fest, Cookies Exchange, Egg Hunts, Mother’s Day Brunch, and more.

Other Activities
Some other activities include: Makin’ Music classes, free Gymboree classes, special morning movies for moms, special showings of children movies, craft days, train rides, singing with the seniors at Sunrise Assisted Living, bumper bowling, gymnastic classes, Painted Plate & Color Me Mine with children and for Mom’s Night Out.
