1 Tim 5:14 tells us we must learn to manage our households.
If our homes are disorganized and untidy, we are not honoring God.
(Ouch!)
Housework to me can sometimes be a drudgery.
But I have found that if I try to remember that household
responsibilities are part of our service to the Lord, they can be
more enjoyable. You may sometimes think doing dishes and laundry
and diapers, etc are just mundane things. However, you are doing exactly what God wants you to do at this time in your life. if you asked God if there was something else you could do for Him-he would reply
"Yes, I want you to do the dishes cheerfully."
You see, God called you to be a wife, mother and homemaker.
Because of this, all the mundane things you do are sanctified,
holy, purposeful and honoring to Him. When we view managing
our home as drudgery it becomes just that--drudgery.
But if we view it as our duty to God, it can become enjoyable!
So turn on some Christian music and get instead of
whistle while you work- - praise Him while you work! :}
