We have a historic opportunity to "throw the bums out". All 435 House seats and 1/3 of the Senate are up for re-election. I'm going GREEN this year, Voting against all incumbents.
You might have noticed that the congress has had a LOT of arrests this year for bribery and corruption. They also voted to FUND the Iraq War. The second time Bush asked for MONEY the congress held a "voice vote" to fund the war... They said it was because they wanted to save time... because a roll call vote takes longer... I think it was so that there would be no voting RECORD... That would give them "plausible deniability"... if a taxpayer asked how they voted. They could say they voted YES or NO... AND THERE IS NO CONGRESSIONAL RECORD OF HOW THEY REALLY VOTED... Sure, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz are to blame for STARTING the Iraq war but Congress FUNDED it. It's an incredible waste of human life and money... We will be paying for this mistake for generations. Thousands of wounded Veterans... All for nothing...
They keep on cutting funding for student loans, medicare, Sesame Street and the environment while passing tax breaks for the super-rich... Let's send them a message... "YOU'RE FIRED !"
