Janet & Valerie's NYC Trip To Heaven and Back
Our Adventure begins on the Friday after Thanksgiving.  We were thankful for our families and what God has given us.  We were on our way to a Studio Tour of All My Children and Lunch with Vincent Irizarry.  Valerie flew in on Friday nite.  I was to pick her up at BWI airport, having never seen her before.  Since we met on the HayHO Haven, I decided to hold a sign up that said "HO" for Valerie to know who I was.  This is something I do not recommend doing in a busy airport on a busy weekend.  (OH the looks I got from passerbys)  We finally greeted one another and I greeted Valerie with the traditional welcoming snack, a package of HOHO's.  We stopped for dinner along the way home, and I am always amazed how 2 people who never physically met can just seem to talk forever.

Saturday arrived, and we were off to do errands, and then drove down to Bethesda to meet some of the DC5.  We had a wonderful time at dinner with Elise (audiodoc), Leslie (DandEfan), and Mary Lou (Cola).  We celebrated Mary Lou's son, Matt's 11th birthday before they left to go see "Little Nicky"   Elise made the mistake of asking if I have any pictures of Samantha, to which I pulled out a whole host of pictures of my princess.  Of
course the debates of D&E v. D&D were discussed "calmly" with good humor while each fan stood her ground.  Dear Elise always has to ask me some question she knows will goad me like "what have you thought of the yacht scenes and Libidizone?"  AND what FOVI gathering would be complete without discussing the good doc himself.  It was so wonderful for me to see Elise again and to really get to sit and talk to Leslie, who is simply lovely.  Topics of conversation also included our wonderful Christmas charity event, AngelTree, and Leslie's singing lesson with Vincent's vocal teacher, Thaddeus.  (Don't ya think Vincent should absolutely show up for her lesson **wink wink**)  It is always wonderful to meet such wonderful women who share in my passion, and even better over dinner and wine.

SUNDAY, Less than 48 hours to go
Sunday arrived, I needed to attend a christening for family, so Val hung around my home for a leisurely day of watching LuJack tapes.  After I came home I got to catch a few clips - What a RIOT!! What a fresh young faced babe he was!  I then got to show Val some of my scrapbooks, and allow her to touch my prized Dr. David labcoat from the  Baltimore CCF event.  She was unsure of the scent (I think it has a wonderful fresh scent) but she basked in being enveloped by Dr. David's clothing.
Travel Day to NYC, Monday
Monday morning came and we were off to New York City.  NOW, as of this am we had missed any calls about confirming details for our Tuesday adventure, so we grew anxious for a call from Vincent.  Val's cell phone was dead, and Boy, as we drove to NYC I must have looked at my cell phone every 5 minutes.  (OH the places the cell phone could have rang!)

We arrived at our hotel and set out to have lunch with Mona (Jadyland) at TGIF's near Rockefeller Center.  We were still
anxiously awaiting a call from Vincent.  We had a wonderful lunch with Mona, who is so sweet.  Val attempted to set up her portable TV to catch AMC while at lunch.  That girl NEEDS to see her AMC  LOL  Mona showed us lots of pics of her kids, and she just happened to have a few from the tea also.  We then roamed Rockefeller Center and saw Saks 5th Ave, the tree, the ice rink, and St. Patricks Cathedral.  We sashayed over to Radio City Music Hall to get tickets to see the Rockettes Christmas spectacular that evening.
