| WHEN I FIRST MET YOU, MY LORD |
| When I first met you, my Lord, you seemed so far away; That sometimes I would wonder, if you could hear me when I'd pray. I could see you in the distance, I could almost hear you speak; And at times I thought I felt your strength, when I'd grown very weak. As time went by, we grew so close, I knew that you were there; And every time I'd cry out to you, I knew that you could hear. As a sheep that knew her sheperd, I came to know your voice; And every time I'd hear you speak, my spirit would rejoice. And now I know, I know you, and that our spirits are as one; I know what you are going to do, before it's even done. I have seen you in your glory, and the mighty works you do; Jesus, you're my everything, I'm so in love with you. Copyright 2001 D. Suzanne Collins |
