| This winter storm brought us moderate rain in most location. At first, I thought the storm would bring us light to moderate rain. I decided to make this storm be a moderately-weak. Then the storm was caught on radar which showed some heavier rain. I upgraded it to a moderate storm. Rainfall started in the Los Angeles County at around 4:30 to 5:00 in the morning. Winds were very light during the storm. There were some thundersotrm, which brought hail, thunder, and lightnng. After the rain moved out of the forecast area, leftover showers formed wiht very strong winds. Some of these showers brought heavy rain and hail. San Gabriel Valley got pounded by these fierce rains. Winds quickly pick up from 5 mph to 20 mph in just over 20 minutes. This storm is categorized as a moderately-strong storm because of the strong winds and some heavy rain. Some moderate snow fell in the Los Angeles County mountains. Between 2-6 inches fell. |
