We are two mothers who
have come to stand on the corner of the information superhighway to ask
for help. As yet, we have found no other way to get us out of our current
trouble. We have come to the point in our lives that we are willing to try
almost anything to help our families.
Both of our husbands are small business owners in the construction industry. Over the past few years, the economy has slowed down and so have our businesses. During this time, we have depleted all of our savings and exhausted all of out credit options in order to keep the businesses going and our employees employed. We each work for our husbands while raising our kids and cannot afford to hire anyone to do the work we do in our companies, or the effort that we put into our families, and are thus forced to find alternative ways to help us through these tough times. One evening, while sitting with the kids in the kitchen, we found ourselves trying to figure out how we could remedy our current penniless situation. and We began to discuss ways to raise money to help us keep our houses and pay the IRS. One idea was to open a day care; however, we did not have the funds to make the house ready to be state approved. Another idea, made by one of the kids, was to put up a website that collects donations from generous people looking to help a couple of mothers in need. So we figured that if several people could each donate one dollar to our cause, maybe we could get ourselves out of the situation we are currently battling. We tried to figure out what we could offer; we had nothing. Finally we concluded that since both of us were noted as caregivers that we would offer our family to the Internet world, thus, hopefully, making you part of our family.The mommy's would like to welcome you into the family for a $1.00 donation each month. In return for your contribution, Mommy D and Mommy S will invite you into their lives by emailing a newsletter monthly of past present and future events. We feel that even if we are asking for help, that we need to give something back in return. We will try to answer all e-mails that are sent. Please be patient, as the internet is new to both of us. Both of these mommy's are major caregivers who will give there all to help those around them and take care of everyone who needs help. But this time they are looking to you for help, and in turn would like to share their family stories with you, since that is all they have to offer to you. This is a real life story based on two mothers and their families.
