Just a regular Moe

Moe returns home wearied
(The workday was long,
the people and their troubles were fresh)
Gnaws on almost fermented leftovers,
Prepares for bed,
Washes slowly,but is
Anxious for rest.
         ....
"Hear oh Israel.... "[ WHA?}

..."With all your heart" [   YOUR NAME?]
         ...
. "With all your soul.." [ I am inside out..can I                                                                    get a DRINK?]

..."You will teach them diligently" [to                                                                                     everyone?]
...  "You will speak of them"
[I 'M  A STUTTERER!]

...And when you rise up"  [ I 'M WEAK MINDED]

...Write them on your doorposts"

[ I ALREADY DID THAT)

...And upon your gates.."

[ I SUPPOSE YOU WONT LET ME FALL]
           "...And be holy...."
[THEN LET ME DO SOMETHING,SMALL]

The Seasons

The seasons flow
One into the other.
We mark them with ceremony and habit.
Only when there are more season behind
   than in front of us,
Do we take note of their speed,
Do we become greedy to savor them.

Be beautiful like a braided fichus
Whose branches are unique yet entwined.

Be strengthened by the warmth of your welcoming home,
Whose source is a common root.

Be  nourishment for the new leaves and fruit
Whose bounty feeds the world.

Be joyful and generous to the to the fichus
Whose common soul exhalts the Spirit.
