It was a little old lady("that developed the 5 hour baby sweater")

 in my local knitting store (long since gone to the big knitting

store in heaven) who wrote it out longhand for me when my mother

was pregnant with my baby sister......  I have been passing this pattern

around the world since 1949, so I am not surprised that you have seen

it in many places, and we all know that once out in the world something

can not be assured of being given the true credit to the true author ;-)
