Angels Among Us

Welcome to my Angel Page!

Guardian Angels

When Angels sense you need them,
And Angels always do...
They come, unseen, from everywhere
To help and comfort you.

They hover close beside you
Till all your cares are gone,
Till they can see you're ready
Once again to carry on.

Then some of them may fly away
And take their gentle touch,
To other hearts that need
The love of Angels very much

But one, at least, stays with you
As your constant friend and guide,
For GUARDIAN ANGELS never leave,
They're always at your side.

LOST & FOUND
Solsberry

A four year old Bloomington girl who wandered away from her grandmother's house Thursday was found about four hours later, cold and scratched but safe, tangled in a barbed-wire fence more than a mile from where she disappeared.

Tasha Graham, the daughter of Trisha Graham who works at General Electric in Bloomington was home and safe in her bed by 10 p.m.

A couple living on Ind. 43, about a mile west of the grandmother's house, found the girl about 7:40 p.m. when they looked outside to see what their dogs were barking at.

State and county police, a state police helicopter, firefighters and neighbors-about 25 people--searched a three-mile square area throughout the evening.

Kathleen Townsend, the grandmother, said Tasha had gone outside to play with the family dogs. She became concerned when the girl had not returned by 3:30, and family members searched and then called police about three hours later.

Townsend, who lives north of Solsberry on county road 525 North near Ind. 43, said Tasha often takes walks with the two German Shepherds, she went toward the woods with Thursday. She was staying with Townsend while her mother was at work.

When she was found, Tasha was alone and without the dogs she started out with. Pat Evoy, who works in the printing shop at Crane Naval Weapons Support Center, said he was surprised when he took a flashlight out behind his house to investigate why his dogs were causing such a commotion. His wife, Lori, had seen movement near their fence, and heard a young voice answer when she called, "Who's out there?" As Pat Evoy got close to the fence, he realized a little girl was caught in the barbed wire.

"She was carrying her boots, mittens, and a stocking hat", Evoy said. "There wasn't a tear shed. She said she was supposed to be home by dark."He untangled the girl's hair and coat from the fence, and freed her from the barbed wire. He carried the girl, who was cold and covered with mud inside his house. She said her name was Tasha, and that she didn't live in Solsberry. "We wondered where she came from,"Evoy said. "She talked about havng kitty cats at home, and said she didn't know her phone number or where she lived. We had no idea where she was from. We thought she might be hungry, and asked her if she wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich."

Tasha said a jelly sandwich and a glass of milk would be just fine. Evoy called the Greene County Sheriff's Department, and told them he had found a 4 year-old named Tasha. Police units involved in the search arrived at the house almost immediately. One of the officers took Tasha's mother to the house. Evoy said he and his wife had arrived home about 20 minutes before they discovered the girl. I don't know how long she could have been there," he said. "We thought about how lucky it was she was safe--she had passed within 40 feet of pond in the pasture before she got caught in the fence." The area is a heavily wooded wilderness and searchers feared the girl might be lost in the deep woods. Skies were clear and the temperature was below freezing. An ambulance from Greene County General Hospital was on the scene to supply medical help if it was needed.

Townsend said Tasha was not too shaken by being lost. "She'd been through the briars and brambles and had lots of scratches, but she was like a rock, not crying or upset," she said. "She said she knew she was lost but said she wasn't afraid." Tasha said she had heard searchers call her name over a loudspeaker from the helicopter, but they must not have heard her call back to them. "She just needed some warming up," Townsend said. "We put her in a nice, warm bath." She thanked all those who helped look for the girl. "It was wonderful , and gratifying to know you can have that much help that fast."

Isn't it a shame the media didn't realize she was surrounded by angels the whole time?
That is why she was not afraid!

Do you believe in angels?
I do.

Do you have an angel story to share?

Aunt Kay, Here is my angel story.
One day when I was about 4 I was being babysat by my grandma Bowen and she decided after we ate lunch that we would go down to the Park which has a lake. After lunch we went to the lake and Grandma was pushing Kaitlin in her stroller and I was riding my bike. When we got there I rode on the top trail beside Grandma who was on the lower trail. As you go farther the hill between the two trails gets bigger. I decided that I was going to show grandma I could ride down the hill without hurting myself or going into the lake. Well, I went down the hill and didn't step on my brakes and went about twenty feet into the lake. Grandma can't swim so she's just standing there watching me and Kaitlin and screaming for help and when she turns around there are two people standing there, a man and a women. The woman said she would watch Kaitlin and she even knew her name and the man helped granma get me and the bike out of the water. When we were done all we had left to do was pull the bike out. Grandma finished this and when she turned around to thank them, they were both gone. We walked around that lake three times and could not find them. They had on like 50's clothes and to this day I still see them every now and again. Like in Florida, when I was roller blading in the road and almost got hit by a car I felt a slight push on my chest and I fell backwards into the driveway and the car nearly missed missed me and as that car drove away that man who had helped me out of the lake drove by in a really old car with the same woman in the passenger side. They both waved as they went buy. I turned around to show Grandma and when we turned around to see them, agan they were gone.

~A STORY FROM MARGARET- AN ON LINE FRIEND~

I LOST MY LITTLE BOY AT THE AGE OF 3 AND A HALF, HE DIED IN MY ARMS. I WAS SCREAMING FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME, BUT NO ONE WAS HOME WHERE I LIVED. I CALLED 911. THE LOCAL POLICE DEPT. GOT THERE FIRST. THEY RUSHED MY BABY TO THE AMBULANCE THAT HAD JUST ARRIVED AT MY HOUSE. 30 MINUTES LATER, AFTER TRYING TO GET A PULSE, THEY PRONOUNCED HIM DEAD! ITS LIKE LIFE WAS A BREATH THAT CAN STOP JUST LIKE THAT! I WILL NEVER GET OVER IT EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THE ANGELS ARE TAKING CARE OF HIM.
