Biography

In May of 2001, Drei, DEX, and Shoji got together to create a band that was something, different, special. But with only a support guitarist and no drummer, the process was very slow. Several problems held them back though and in late July Shoji left the band.
By mid Aug. the support guitarist had left. George Washington had come in on Bass and Chiisai on Drums. Decent From Twilight was formed.(A very crappy normal everyday, lets play covers metal band) Things did not run quickley or smoothley here either, and by December -with only two songs completed and no shows played, DFT was falling apart. On December 24, DFT stopped all activties as the band crumbled and all members went there own way.
Throughout all of 2002 this continued, with none of the above muscians communicating much, or at all. But almost one year to the day that DFT crumbled, Drei and Shoji started talking again. This time of doing right.
In January of 2003 Drei and Shoji agreed to work together again.  The only problem,  they needed other muscians inputs in this as well.
From January-September, Drei and Shoji auditioned muscian after muscian after muscian searching for that perfect union of people.  For 9 long months this continued.  A new band, experiment, each month until Oct. On Oct. 1st, 2003 Drei and Shoji found the guitarist they were looking for. Oddly enough it was noone other than DEX... After 9 months of incubation Nagasaki Nightmare (what the band now call preview to Vanity) was formed.
On Oct. 31st NN played their first show, and rocked the house.  But when November came they noticed something was up.  With no drummer once again, they saw that this may spiral out of control. Deciding to write and not perform, NN continued to compose songs   On Feb. 29th, 2004 it was announced that NN would be halting activities under that name.  And they had a good reason.  As of yet no songs had been composed in the begining of that year, and Chaz had been picked up on support guitar along with zOoM.2 on drums.  They were a new entity and on that day Moment of Vanity was born, along with their first two songs.
