What can be said about a day like today? It's horrible what has happened! This day seemed to start like any other day. My husband and I woke up, he got ready for work and I went downstairs to update my homeschool paperwork and made some coffee. I woke the kids and had them get dressed and ready, we had to take Daddy to work so that we could have the van. Today was going to be a Park day, a fun day. After dropping Lee off, we returned home. The kids were sitting down to eat breakfast, and Lee called me from work. He asked if I had seen what happened to the World Trade Center.  I turned to CNN and could not believe what I saw. I remember what had happened years before to the same building. During that first attack, we were living in Queens, NY. It was horrible then, and when the smoke cleared, 6 people died and hundreds others were hurt.

Today, 2 airplanes deliberately crashed into the World Trade Center towers. Soon after, another airplane crashed into the Pentagon building in Washington, DC. A third plane crashed in Pennsylvania, who knows where that one was headed. I watched as, one by one, the towers of the World Trade Center collapsed, literally crumbled to the streets below. I used to live in New York City, and seeing the streets covered in dust like that made the place look foreign, unreal, like some war movie. I wondered what else is going to happen? Who did this? I prayed for God to help those who were killed or hurt. Help the families that were left behind. And I also prayed that god severely and eternally punish those who were responsible for this tragedy.
