| Golden butterfly flies | |||||||
| Somewhere in an unknown backyard, here. When living seems so but calm and warm Just felt like going out and sit awhile Within this old backyard quiet and peaceful, Beneath the shady trees, sunlight beans through branches, Every breeze, dozen shades of green appeared Designed to please the eye, a golden butterfly flies in A humming honeysuckle's perfume permeates the air, And though I do not see it I know it's there. The sky above is a shade of light blue, There are lazy cotton clouds, and nothing else to do, But let your eyes sail across this curious butterfly It was given hope whose sturdy wings where meant to fly. This old world we inhabit, is much the best for wear, Beauty fades sometimes and hearts forget to care, But somehow is to discover within this butterfly What a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary, it found. |
