Isabella's Poems
Isabella

Isabella
What a beautiful name
Because we lost you
I know I'll never be the same.
Isabella
I feel so lost
Who ever knew that saving my life
Would come at such a cost?
Isabella
What am I supposed to do?
I feel so many emotions
But the strongest one is feeling blue.
Isabella
You will always be in our hearts
A perfect little Angel
With the tiniest little parts.
Isabella
They say I'll make it through
But how can I go on
Tell me how to make it through.
Isabella
I know we'll meet again someday
Until my work on Earth is done
For you each night, I'll pray.

Love, Mommy
My Little Belle

You came into our lives
A wonderful bundle of joy
You gave us moments of happiness
And a lifetime of memories to enjoy.
You're the most beautiful girl
A Daddy could have
With your mother's nose
And those lovely, tiny feet
A wonderful Angel of God
So lovely and so sweet.
We want you here with us
To love and rock to sleep
But your mother and I are safe
Knowing you're under God's keep.
We wish you were here
To watch you grow through the years
To help us with our heartache
And wash away the tears.
I go to sleep at night
Wishing you were here
To hold you tight in my arms
And whisper in your ear.
I wonder what it would be like
To hold your tiny hand
To walk you to the playground
And play with you in the sand.
My love for you grows stronger
Each and every day
But sometimes it's hard
For someone like me to say.
Know, Dear Isabella
That my love for you is true
You'll always be in your Daddy's heart
And he'll always love you.
I hope this poem makes you happy
And your smile shine so bright
Your Daddy will always think of you
Every day and every night.
There are many things I want to say
So many stories I want to tell
But the greatest I will speak of
Will be the one of My Little Belle.

Love, Daddy
Poem To All Dads

It must be very difficult
To be a man in grief,
Since "men don't cry" and "men are strong"
No tears can bring relief.
It must be difficult
To stand up to the test
And field calls and visitors
So she can get some rest.
They always ask if she's alright
And what she's going through
But seldom take his hand and ask,
"My friend, but how are you?"
He hears her crying in the night
And thinks his heart will break
He dries her tears and comforts her
But "stays strong" for her sake.
It must be very difficult
To start each day anew
And try to be so very brave -
He lost his baby too...

Dont' let them say I wasn't born
That something stopped my heart
I felt each tender squeeze you gave
I've loved you from the start.
Although my body you can't hold
It doesn't mean I'm gone
This world was worthy, not of me
God chose that I move on.
I know the pain that drowns your soul
What you are forced to face
You have my word, I'll fill your arms
Someday we will embrace.
You'll hear that it was "meant to be"
"God doesn't make mistakes"
But that won't soften your worst blow
Or make your heart not ache.
I'm watching over all you do
Another child you'll never bear
Believe me when I say to you
That I am always there.
There'll come a time, I promise you
That you will hold my hand
Stroke my face and kiss my lips
And then you'll understand.
Although I've never breathed your air
Or gazed into your eyes
That doesn't mean I never "was" --
An Angel never dies.

(One of the lines in this poem originally read "Another child you'll bear". We changed it to "Another child you'll never bear" because that is the case for us. We don't know who the author is, so if we've offended anyone, please accept our sincere apology.)
