The one thing that I love to do is grow flowers. I love flowers!!! I love a mixture of colors...red, yellow,orange,pink,and purple. I love all flowers! But, the orange lily and yellow rose have a special meaning to me ...let me share with you why.
The orange Lily mixed with yellow roses were always my brother's favorite bouquet. When he gave flowers, he always gave them in this combination because he liked them. Well sadily, last year I lost my brother at the age of 35, and this combination of flowers took on a whole new meaning for me. Now everytime I see a yellow rose or an orange lily, I always think of brother, because he was so precious to me.
As I was searching for the perfect background for this site, I came across the "Meanings of Flowers" and it happen to have the yellow rose with it's meaning... It simply said, The yellow rose means "Please Remember Me".
So the yellow rose and orange lilies now fill my flower beds and over where my brother spent his last few minutes; between all the woods, pines, and such...a single orange lily was planted in his memory ,and it came into full bloom on the one anniversary of our loss...June 13, 2006.
