"I've been on stage all my life. Stage is like home to me," says Molly Shea.

A student at Auburn High School, Molly is a junior graduating early with the class of 2000. Though her acedemics are strong, her true love is music.

"I just always loved it," she said. " Music has always been in my family,"

Shea began performing on stage with local theater companies at age six. She is a skilled vocalist, extending her talents to the guitar, violin, trumpet, piano and drums. Drawing on inspirations ranging from Led Zeppelin to the Beatles to Patsy Cline. Shea has develped her own unique music style.

Focusing on voice and guitar, she has over 27 copyrighted songs of her own.

"I started writing when I was 13," she said." I write a lot when I'm really angry or really sad".

Although she doesn't have a band together, she hopes to get into studio this summer and record some demos. When school resumes in the fall, she plans to attend Cayuga Community College, perhaps going from there to the Berkeley School of Music. She hopes to learn the production aspect of the music industry.

Visible within the high school performance in the talent show Shea's combination of guitar and powerful vocals draws audience response.

This is what she intends." The one thing I want to do as a musician is invoke an emotion in the audience; laugh, cry, move them in some way,"

Shea will continue her involvement to writing and performing and working to gather a band and release an album.

"This is what I want to do," she said,"It's the only thing I want to do."
