Bryce Canyon National Park, UT
(December 2002)

Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah is famous for its unique rock formations called Hoodoos. They are formed when ice and rain water wear away at the weak limestone in the rock. In this picture you can see a perfect example of a Hoodoo, highlighted from behind by the glow of the sun.
