Malibu Creek State Park - Santa Monica Mountains, CA

This photograph was taken on one of my first hikes after purchasing a close-up lens for my camera. It really opened up so many new photographic opportunities including the chance to capture this ladybug resting on a dew-covered stalk. The morning sun was just coming up and provides a beautiful golden glow to the dewdrops.
