IT'S ALL ABOUT THE ARROW KEYS!!
TIP #1:If the slide show is moving too slow or too fast for you (or if you want to return to an earlier picture), you can use the LEFT/RIGHT ARROW KEYS on your computer keyboard at ANY TIME while a slide show is running, to move backward or forward through the pictures whenever you want to (this is *much* easier than having to click with your mouse on the arrow *buttons* on the screen).
TIP #2:
You can also use your UP/DOWN ARROW KEYS to move the SCREEN itself up and down (say, to look at the bottom of a picture that is bigger than the screen, or to read the caption that appears above each photo). This is a LOT easier than using your mouse and the scroll bar.
