Back in Dec 05, the 7th grade English teachers at Northview Middle School, brought us in for our "WordPlays".  Adrian worked with the whole 7th grade for a week to produce poetry - the poems were personal and sometimes shocking. 

I then scripted a performance from the poetry.  In April 06, I came in and directed & rehearsed 24 actors (6 from each English teacher) on stage.  "WordPlays" is a multi-media poetry performance including music and film.  The actors were great - most of them had never even acted before!  We performed for the 7th grade and then for the community in an evening performance.  The principal was so impressed she brought me back in to have the actors perform for the 6th and 8th grade as well!

What a wonderful project and all to celebrate National Poetry Month, Adrian did a poetry reading before the "WordPlays".  We'd like to thank JuJu Phillips, Aimee Sigmon, Donna Miller and Janet Key - insightful and amazingly supportive!
