George Harrison was born on February 25, 1943. When he was 15 he stared to play the guitar. He later ,in 1958, jointed the band called the Quarrymen. They changed into the Beatles and  George became  lead guitar.
By 1966, George was writing one or more songs per album. George became fascinated with sitar music. He wrote some sitar-based songs for some soundtracks. He made the first solo outing by a Beatles member.
By 1968, his personal life was troubled. He and his close friend loved the same girl! Her name was Patti Boyd. She was married to George but she later left him and married George's friend. They all stayed close. George even  traveled to Europe to perform with his old friend. Within months the Beatles were no more.        In his solo album he wrote a song called "My Sweet Lord" but it sounded a lot like Chiffons hit "He's so Fine". The court said he "subconsciously" borrowed from "He's So Fine" and he owed $1.6 million in damages. But the case did not settle until the 1990's. He then took a break in 1971 from recording. George returned in solo touring in 1991. He worked on the Anthology in 1995 to 1998. In 2000 he worked on a new album. It was to release in 2001. George Harrison died on Nov. 29, 2001. He died of cancer and the age of 58. He left his wife Olivia and his son Dhani behind. He is greatly missed.
