My yearly pay increase went through on todays paycheck as yearly as it can be, considering Ive only worked there a mere seven months.

As I giddily logged onto tcfbank.com, dollars signs danced before my eyes. Id known the percent increase since February, but had been told to wait until my mid-April paycheck before Id see the difference. Now, the day had come. Id finally get that extra cash-o-la Id been promised oh-so-long ago.

Would it put less of a strain on my wallet? Would I be able to make extra trips to the mall? Would I be dropping Benjamins like it was my job?

I clicked on my checking account and took in the numbers. Carry the one. Move the decimal point. After some quick addition in my head, I scrolled to my last paycheck deposit to verify I hadnt lost my Math Master skills. Thats when I smiled in delight: an extra $27.44 every two weeks.

That take, Mr. Carlson!

You're a falling star.
You're the get-away car.
You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
You're the swimming pool on an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to say.

And you play it coy, but it's kinda cute.
Ah, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do.
Baby don't pretend that you don't know it's true.
Cause you can see it when I look at you.

And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times.
It's you, it's you, you make me sing.
You're every line.
You're every word.
You're everything.
