Chapter 17
Hailee went off on the week�s work she had done in school. What it was like to move from New Mexico to California, Los Angeles. Adrea didn�t want to leave in the next few days; she was happy, so happy to see her daughter again.
�So where is Trevor, don�t he get home around now?� Adrea asked her daughter as they walked into the kitchen.
�Yeah, he always gets here at 7pm. Like right on the dot.� Hailee said with a giggle as if on cue Trevor walked in the front door.
�Hails you up stairs?� Trevor yelled out shutting the front door.
Adrea smiled putting her finger up to her lips, telling Hailee to not say anything. Hailee obeyed and kept her mouth shut. Trevor slowly walked into the kitchen. His brown hair spiked up, he was wearing a tight Tommy shirt, and loose fitted Tommy jeans with his Tommy shoes on. Sarah�s mouth dropped open, she didn�t think he would be so hot. Trevor�s mouth dropped open when he seen Adrea standing in the front room.
�Guess who.� Adrea smiled
�Dre? I thought� you wouldn�t be able to get home on this day�� Trevor stuttered.
�Give me a hug!� Adrea smiled running into her best friends� arms.
They both started to talk every once in a while Hailee would join in on what they were saying. Sarah was just sitting on a stool at the bar in the kitchen watching what was going on. Adrea was more then happy to be home. Sarah could tell she was happier here then with the guys and in Orlando. All talking stopped when Sarah�s cell phone started to ring.
Adrea turned around, she had forgot Sarah was sitting there, she didn�t mean to she was just so happy to see both Hailee and Trevor.
�Sorry, I�ll go answer this.� Sarah blushed as she grabbed her cell phone and started to walk out.
Adrea watched her walk out, by her voice; she could tell Sarah was talking to Justin. That is when she remembered Hailee was on the phone when she had walked in. She turned and looked at her daughter.
�Who were you talking to on the phone?� Adrea asked
�Some guy, he said he was Justin Timberlake. Yeah like my mom works for NSYNC.� Hailee rolled her eyes.
�Hailee, I do� what did you say to him?� Adrea asked her heart started to beat a thousand beats per minute.
�I told him that if he didn�t get me my mom I was going to call the cops on him for hurting you.� Hailee said, �Did I do something wrong?� She asked thinking she had done something wrong.
�You didn�t do anything wrong.� Adrea smiled picking her daughter up.
Sarah walked back into the kitchen, her cell phone still on her ear. She had an annoyed look on her face. To Adrea she knew JC was now talking.
�You aren�t good at introducing your friends?� Trevor said looking at Sarah chewing some gum and rolling her eyes at her brother, even though he can�t see her.
�I forgot, she knows who you are, she is Sarah Chasez.� Adrea said biting her bottom lip as Sarah hung up her cell phone.
�Dre, can I talk to you real fast, just you and me?� Sarah asked taking Adrea�s hand and pulling her out into the front room.
�What is wrong, what did JC have to say?� Adrea asked
�He kept questioning me. �What is this about her having a kid.� That type of question. You might as will tell him now.� Sarah shrugged.
�I can�t, he�ll hate me any ways.� Adrea said
�Who care, if he really does like you, he won�t mind what happen 8 years ago.� Sarah said walking back into the kitchen. �Hailee, do you want to meet my brother?� Sarah asked the 8-year-old.
Hailee�s face lit up with a smile as she shook her head yes.
�*NSYNC! My friends would hate me for ever!� She smiled as she turned towards Trevor. �You hear that Uncle Trevor, I�m going to meet NSYNC! Do you want to come with?� Hailee asked
�I�m not sure if I�� Trevor started
�Sure you can come. It�ll be fine, they like to meet new people.� Sarah said with a slight smile watching Trevor pick up Hailee.
Adrea didn�t say a whole word to Sarah as she drove down the high way to Justin�s house. She would only answer small questions Hailee and Trevor would ask. When they finally pulled up to Justin�s house, it took 10 minutes to get past the gate. Sarah had to type in about four different passwords to get it open. His house was 2 stories; about 4 other cars were parked in the driveway.
Hailee was so shocked that she was at Justin Timberlakes house that she kept her mouth shut. You could hear a basketball hitting the ground every time it bounced. �Smack, smack, smack, smack.� Hailee grabbed Sarah�s hand and squeezed tightly as she slowly opened the front door. Adrea walked in followed by Trevor.
You could hear Joey and Justin�s voice ring out from the front room. You could also hear the very loud Play Station 2 game being played. They rounded the corner and Hailee almost screamed.
�I�m going to kick your ass Joey!� Justin yelled standing up then sitting back down.
�I�ll pay money for that one.� Sarah said, Justin pushed pause and jumped up.
With out even looking at anyone else he ran over to where she was picking her up and throwing her on the couch.
�I can kick your ass too.� Justin smiled then stopped. He turned around and looked at the little girl standing in front of Adrea and Trevor.
Hailee turned around and grabbed Adrea�s leg.
�Mom, look.� She said trying to hide.
�Mom�?� Justin asked looking a little confused. Looking at Adrea, Hailee then to Trevor, then to the door where JC was standing.
JC walked up stairs, after Adrea explain who Hailee was. He didn�t want to hear it. He didn�t care, why did he care. The person he cared the most about didn�t tell him that she had a child at the age of 16. Adrea ran up the stairs after him, Hailee was about to go but Trevor kept her back down stairs.
�How could you not tell me?� JC asked not looking at her.
�I wasn�t sure what you would say.� Adrea said trying to get him to look at her.
�What would I say, the person I care about has a child. I sure would have loved to find out about this when I first met you!� JC said almost in a yell.
�Why so you would try to get to know me. Because I have a child, I�m off limits, is that how it is? Because I have a Child you don�t want to even come close to me. Are you going to try and forget everything?� Adrea said almost crying she didn�t want to cry because of him, she wasn�t going to let her self cry over him.
�Where do you get this? I would have loved to met her, why did you hide it from Jive then?� JC asked
�DO YOU REALLY THINK JIVE WOULD HAVE HIRED ME IF THEY KNEW I HAD A CHILD?� Adrea yelled
�No�� Adrea stopped JC
�THAT IS RIGHT, NO THEY wouldn�t have hired me, I have a child they would have said. �You are very talented. It is just a little sad that you had sex at 16 and got knocked up!�� Adrea yelled
JC didn�t say anything he just sat there. He didn�t know what to say. He was pissed off that she never told him. He was hurt more then mad. How long would she have kept her 8-year-old a secret to him and his friends?
Adrea was about to cry she didn�t want to stay there.
�I�m sure Sarah would have got you to be on the job. They listen to her, even if you had a child.� JC stated.
�Go FUCK Sarah, she wouldn�t have got me this job if Jive knew I had a child.� Adrea said walking towards the door.
JC stopped her by grabbing her arm and turning around.
�Where are you going?� He asked trying to keep her there.
�To get my daughter, and to leave.� Adrea said
�Thinking about your daughter, not going to let her stay here with us for a few hours. Going to hide her out with your boy friend Trevor?� JC asked with a slight laugh.
Adrea didn�t want to hear any more. She raised her hand and slapped JC hard on the face. When he let go of her arm to bring his hand up to his face Adrea pushed him away and walked out of the door.
�Mom! Lance said that I can come with them back to Orlando!� Hailee smiled jumping up
�What?� Adrea asked
�We didn�t know you had a daughter, she looks just like you.� Chris said in a girlie voice.
�Can I mom! Can I? PLEASE!� Hailee smiled sitting on her knees leaning on the couch.
�Yes, you know your mom would love for you to move in with her down there.� Trevor answer.
Adrea looked at him, she couldn�t tell if he was sad that she would be moving out, or happy that she was going to be with her mother. He had been like a father to Hailee, and she never thought of him as a dad, always as an uncle.
�Well, I� I�m not�� Adrea stopped when hearing JC�s voice ring out.
�Is this the little brat?� He asked in a pissed off tone of voice. �She sure reminds me of you.� JC said passing Adrea and walking into the kitchen.
Sarah watched her brother walk into the kitchen. She got up and walked into the kitchen to see what was wrong.
�Yeah, you can come. You�ll like it down in Orlando. Lots of Back Street Boys down there.� Adrea said as Hailee jumped into her mother�s arms. She was happy all smiles.
