Chapter One
Adrea was one of the top celebrity reporters that had come out. Even though she was only 24 years old, just barely out enough to make a name for her self. Adrea scored a job with a record label, Jive Records had hired her, and they felt that some one freshly out of college would be better then anyone that had been corrupted by the world already. She signed the one-year contract to work with the ever-famous group of *NSYNC if the group liked what she wrote about them. Then after that year she would have a choice to sign on for another year or leave. She thought that if working with an already popular band that her job would be easier for her. She just didn�t plan on what happened when she started to work with the group. They had been out in the states since 1998 it was now 2001. Trust was hard for the 5 guys; anyone that was new would be an outsider for a while.
�Hi, I am Adrea Baxston, I�m the new reporter for *NSYNC.� Adrea smiled at the lady behind a desk.
The middle aged woman removed her reading glasses and looked up, she seen a younger woman about 24 years of age, 5�8 with shoulder length brown hair and light brown eyes. She started to look through some papers that were stacked on her desk along side about a billion other papers.
�Awe, yes Ms. Baxston, If you would please take a seat while I give some one a call to let them know you are waiting.� The lady smiled as she picked up the phone and pushed a few numbers.
Adrea sat down in a chair that was on the wall a crossed from the desk. She felt a little out of place being the only one sitting there. She grabbed her bag closer to her and held on to it tighter. She hadn�t yet met the guys of *NSYNC, she knew who they were but wasn�t really that big of a fan of theirs. She just needed a job and when she got the call she couldn�t turn it down. People were walking in and out of doors, coming and going, all talking on cell phones or with someone in a business suit.
�Adrea Baxston?� A bigger black man asked
�Yes, that is me. Who are you?� Adrea asked taking his hand and shaking it.
�I�m Mitch, come with me.� He said as they walked through some doors. They stopped to wait for the elevator doors to open.
�Mitch, did I do something wrong? I was called today saying I had to stop by to meet the members of NSYNC for the first time.� Adrea said as Mitch stepped onto the elevator Adrea followed on.
�I�m one of the security guys for *NSYNC, I come down and bring up press people and all that good stuff.� Mitch said as the elevator stopped on the 5th floor. Mitch stepped off, as did Adrea.
�I�m sorry I�m just a little confused. I�m supposed to be working for the guys of *NSYNC, so that should mean I�m not just any other reporter.� Adrea said as she followed Mitch, He stopped and turned to her.
�What ever makes you work better my dear.� He smiled as he turned back around and opened an office door.
Adrea stepped in the door and looked around. All five members of the group were sitting around a table laughing and talking about stuff. Adrea had met a few of the other people in the room. She recognized the dark blonde sitting a crossed from Justin, they both were making silly and goofy faces to one another. The older man talking to another older man, she had met both of them, they were the ones she had been interviewed by and signed a contract for. Mitch cleared his throat, one of the older men looked his way, and he smiled and walked over towards Adrea.
�How was your flight?� He asked
�It was fine Mr. Smith.� Adrea smiled
�Do you like the apartment?� He asked
�Yes, you guys didn�t have to find me a place to live. I�m sure I could have found one on my own.� Adrea smiled a nervous smile.
�Guys� Listen up guys, this is Adrea Baxston, she is the new lady on board for this joyful ride.� He smiled
If Adrea was nervous when she first walked in the room she was 10 times it now; all eyes were looking at her. The guys didn�t even fake a smile; they just stared at her as if they wanted to smash her like a fly.
�Hi Adrea, I�m Lance Bass.� Lance said holding out his hand to hers
Adrea looked at him for a second before she took his hand into hers and shook it. He pulled his hand away from hers and went back to his seat. Each guy came up to her and introduced them selves to her. She didn�t think they would like her, just by the look on their faces when she was introduced.
