HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Binalbagan Catholic College is a diocesan school under the diocese of Kabankalan.nit begun as Binalbagan Catholic High School.the starting of catholic School in the area was a top priority of Columban Father when they came to Negros Island in 1950.This was in accord with the edia og the Catholic Church all over the world. On that period there were very few schools of higher education in the province of Negros Occidental

it was 1961,when the catholic church in southern nergros saw the needs. to help the poorer student get a tertialy Catholic Education as they could not afford to go the College in the Cities.

The School year 1978-79 was married by a significant change in BCC including the elementary and high school department. The ADMINISTRATION of the school was turned over completly to the Presentation Sisters. During the term of Sr.Aquilla Sy,from 1978-1985 BCC Launched its program for social transformation and became an affilateof the Education forum,one of the Mission Partners of the Association of Major Religious Susperiors of the Phillipines

During the critical periods of the country history,BCC stood on the side of the Oppresed.

The 90's were marked by the rise in the academic competence of graduates from elementary,high school and college level. The Eelmentary ang High School Department consistnly made 100% passing in the national academic test in addition the high school ranked as one of the top twenty provincial high school in the country. The Education Student consistently obtained rating higher than the national average in the national board examination and the school had graduate in the topnatchers list.

After 50 yrs of dedicated service for quality Catholic education.Bcc Strengthen its commitment toward realization of its vision and mission as it steadfastly pursues the work towards being an accredited instituion. In 2013 these effort bore fruit when bcc attained level 1 Accreditation of its bachelor of elementary education(BEED) And bachelor of science in bussiness administration(BSBA) programs from the phillipines Accrediting Association of Schools,Colleges and Universities(PAASCU)
