#STUDENT SERVICES AND FACILITIES

- Student services includes study aids through the library, counselling on personal and social adjustment through the guidance office, medical and dental care, recreational facilities, and other services and facilities.

Section 1. REGISTRAR'S OFFICE

It coordinates and activities involving student registration, transfer and graduation. The office is primarily responsible for the updating and safekeeping of student records as well as other vital documents and records of the College, and maintenance of such records is strict cconfidentiality.

Section 2. THE LIBRARIES

The library, the heart of all educational institution, is a place for study and research, and serves the need of the students and staff of different departments. It also helps translate the BCC Mission and Statement.

The library has the following objectives:

1. To serve as the reservoir of ideas of great men and women.

2. to collect and organize books and non-books materials.

3. To make library materials available for use.

4. To complement the teaching learning process by guiding the students in the proper use and and selection of books and other materials

Section 3. THE GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING OFFICE

The Guidance Office complements the instuctional program of the school. It's program is a part of a curriculum, and helps in in the achievement of vision and mission of school.

- The following services are offered by the Guidance and Counselling Office:

a. Appraisal Services - to help students keep track for their personal growth and development, the office makes sure that educational records, inventories, test results and interview notes are safely filed in the individual envelopes and updated yearly.

b. Counselling Services - Individual and group sessions and conducted by trained counselors are offered to students who have special concerns regarding academic, career, family or personal lives in general.

c. Information Service - provides information related to guidance and student development.

d. Visitation and Follow-up Services - The office keeps track of students who previously visited the office to check improvements after the sessions made.

e. Teseting Service - Through standardized test, students are assessed in terms individual strength and weaknesses in the area interests and values.

f. Placement Service - The office conducts job fairs, job hunting seminars and examinations to help graduating students in their job placement.

g. Evaluation and Research Services - Studies and surveys are made on relevant issues and concerns to address the needs of the students.

h. Guidance Classes - The office conducts guidance classes for first year students as part of the curriculum to follow up students in the area of guidance and counselling.

i. Peer Facilitators Program = To reach and serve the students of the school, to office selects and trains students who have potential in establishing peer support. They are trained to acquire skills in facilitating individual or group peer counselling.

Section 4. THE CAMPUS MINISTRY

The Campus Ministry provides a personal and intimate encounter with God through various programs in the form of liturgical and social pastoral activities.

- Liturgical Ministry helps create a climate of celebration of campus through Eucaharistic and non-Eucharistic assemblies. This is made possible through the joyful working efforts of the Mass, Music snd the Word and Life Ministries.

- Pastoral Ministry provides spiritual guidance, foster vocations, encourage prayer, spiritual reading and throughtful reverence and the life. All these activities are taking cared by three main ministries namely; Retreats, Recollections and Spiritual Counselling.

- Educational Ministry is a ministry that educates members of the community in the faith through systematic and regular catechetical instruction and sends trained and committed volunteer student catechists to different poor areas within Binalbagan vicinity, in coordination with the Parish catechetical program.

Section 5. MEDICAL-DENTAL CLINICS

The clinic provides BASIC and EMERGENCY swrvices within its capacity only. It provides beds for temporary rest and comfort of patients.

The Medical/Dental Team is composed of:

- Doctor

- Dentist

- School Nurse/Health aid

The Medical/Dental services aim to:

a. provide basic primary medical and dental services to BCC students.

b. assist in information and education program on basic medical and dental care, in coordination with other departments.

Section 6. THE LABORATORIES

- The science Laboratories accomodate all science subjects in the College to aid students in their scientific experiments and application.

- The Speech Laboratory is used for all Communication Arts subjects.

- The Internet Laboratory aims to enhance the skills of students on how to have access to internet in order to varied and comprehensive sources of information.

Section 7. AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM

The Audio Visual Room is an academic support unit, which provides a wide variety of audio-visual materials, facilities and services to complement and to improve the teaching learning process.

Section 8. NANO NAGLE MULTI-PURPOSE GYM

Cultural programs, symposia, fora, basketball games, gymnastics and other activities with big audience are held at Nano Nagle Multi-Purpose Gym.

Section 9. BCC CANTEEN

Students are expected to help the school canteen remain clean and orderly. CLEAN AS YOU GO is expected from every student after using canteen tables for eating.

Section 10. THE BETHANY HOUSE

The Bethany House is located in premises of the college, beside Nano Nagle Gym. It accomodates members of clubs/organizations, recognized by the College, who hold live-in activities.

Section 11. OTHER SERVICES

The DSDW takes the charge of the following:

1. Lost and Found - lost and found objects should be reported immediately to the DSDW Office.

2. Bulletin Board - the DSDW Office facilitates the posting of announcement, posters and notices of the departments and accredited organizations.
