1.STUDIES:

1956:Degree in architecture from the school of Architecture ECOLE NATIONALE SUPERIEURE DE BEAUX ARTS.
GRADUATION SUBJECT: A Tourist  center on the island of Santorini and its development.
DISTINCTIONS: Silver Medal offered by the society of french architects.
Awarded with the title of the "best Greek Student" from the Greek Embassy in Paris (1956).

2.ACADEMIC ACTIVITY:


1962-65:Assistant Professor of the School of Architecture Of the National  Polytechnic School, in Athens,in charge of "Environmental control and housing equipment"
1966-69: Assistant Professor of the School of Architecture of the National Polytechnic School, in Athens,in charge of ''Architectural Design''.

3.INTERNATIONAL CONGRESSES:

As  a member of the commitee for housing, town-planning and the development of the professional practice of architects at
U.I.A (Union International of architects ).
a. Participated   at the congress  of the commitee in  Zagreb - Jugoslavia (1960) and in Madrit - Spain  (1962).
b. Participated  at the commitee of town planning,  Myconos (1960).
c. President at the congress of the  International section of U.I.A.at Warsaw, on the subject  of the development of the professional practice of  architects, (1978).
d. Participated   at the  International congress of High buildings  organized by the Technical chamber of Greece , Athens, (1978). 
e. Participated at the  International congress on the subject of European economical community, Athens, (1978).
f. Participated at the international congress  of U.I.A in Nicosia (1984) and Cairo (1985) of the subject ''The architectas mission of today and tomorrow'' .
g. Participated at the international congress  of U.I.A in Montreal on the subject ''Architecture and Technology '' (1990).
h. Participated at the XVIII International congress in Chicago on the  subject''Architecture for a viable futuretoward 2000'' general coordinator of the internationalcomitee for the exchange of young architects.

8. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1955:Architectural office BOLLEAU-LABOURDETTE, PARIS Assistant at urban planning, housing projects in  Sarcelle, Marly-le Roi ,Banieux

1957-59 Technical department of the Greek marine.
  As an employee he worked at the projects:
  - Extension of the hospital of the Greek navy
  - Building of the navy  officers.
  - Club of the navy officers in Corfou
  - War monument in Leros.

Since 1959 he has his own architectural office ''S.MOLFESSIS AND PARTNERS '' for private and public projects.
In collaboraion with the architects N.VALSAMAKIS, M.SERDARI,N.PAGIDAS,A.PASSIOTIS,E.MIHAILIDIS he found the firm ''S.MOLFESSIS AND ASSOCIATES LTD'' for public projects.
Since February 1995 he started the partnership with the office G.GENIAS and the new firm name is ''S.MOLFESSIS -G.GENIAS AND PARTNERS L.T.D.'' ARCHITECTS
