(This is actually a genre, but whatever)  Rockabilly/Rockabilly-type country
My first willing exposure to this sort of music began with Reverend Horton Heat.  A couple of years
later, I was flicking through the radio stations and happened upon "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash.  I
stopped to listen to the song my mother had always mentioned to me growing up as one of her alltime
least favorite songs, due to her repeated unwilling exposure to it.  I like it, and decided to keep listening
to the station.  In the next hour (upon which the signal became too muddy), I heard some of the truest,
saddest, most hilarious music I've ever heard in my life.  Every time I drive through that part of
Missouri, I turn to that station to discover some new song I'd never heard before and sing along to
favorites.  I spent the first 21 years of my life basically opposed to country in all forms, but I now
consider this particular subgenre to be one of my favorites.

Just in case you were wondering, I also like:

The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Faith No More, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Fatboy Slim, Moby, Nine Inch Nails, Bloodhound Gang, and lots lots more.
