Slacker This film is a series of vignettes which I feel illustrates the ole "Six Degrees of Separation" chestnut fairly well. A guy walks past a car on the street, the plot switches to the driver. He gets arrested, some onlookers are followed for a while. They go into a coffee shop where some people are talking. It follows the conversation, then one guy leaves and it follows him. Got it? This how the entire movie takes place. It was filmed entirely in Austin, TX which apparently from what I hear is a city populated almost entirely by offbeat and fascinating people. Whether they are "scary-fascinating" or just regular fascinating I guess would be up to personal opinion. Some of the discussions had in this movie are absolutely thought-provoking, and the dialogue can range from the absurd to the formal and emotional. I feel like a character in this movie sometimes.
