In most
system of biological treatments of industrial
and domestic wastewater, aeration is
considered as the most important stage.
Therefore, an effective mixing and at the
same time the transmission of sufficient
amount of oxygen required for the aerobic
micro-organisms are the Two essential steps
needed for the treatment system. On the basis
of the importance and the need for such
competent and efficient aerators, Mojan
Company with a view to
the latest developments in science and
technology,has made an attempt to devise and
manufacture the new models of aerators far
more effective than the existing ones (low
speed surface aerators,brush aerators , ect).
The Shondor aerator can be
fixed in the aeration tank in an appropriate angle so
that the electromotor unit , transmission system and the
air inlet section may remain beyond, and its propeller
under the surface of water The fast rotation of the motor
causes the propeller to turn. Consequently, the fluid
around the propeller begins to move and a low pressure
point will be made at the end part of the shaft. The
pressure drop made at the aeration shaft end causes a
flow of air vacuum from the surface into the wastewater.
This flow of air makes a great turbulence and on the
other hand a host of tiny air bubbles which create an
absolute mixing in the aeration tank are formed, and
accordingly the effectiveness of oxygen absorption and
mixture is increased in the aeration tank. The horizontal
movement of the fluid prolongs the life-span of bubbles
in the wastewater and maximizes the oxygen transmission
to the wastewater as well.
 
Shondor is a high speed
surface aerator with a capacity of deep transmission of
oxygen. It is made up of the flowing parts:
- Electromotor
unit : Shondor is equipped with a standard
and flanged kind of Three phase electromotor .
The class of thermal isolation class of the motor
less than 7.5 kw is F , and the electrical
protection is IP 55.
- The
body : It consists of the power
transmission system and a standing unit for
installation.
- The
shaft : A hollow shaft is made of stainless
steel and a three blade proeller.
Have been machined and
assembled, all parts of the unit go through careful
inspection and tests so as to ensure the ideal quality.
Therefore, these models of aerators characterize high
standard of quality and a long period of operation.
Note
To
extend the application capacity of these aerators
in a way
they
can be used in different sections of treatment
plants,
these
aerators have been produced in two forms of fix and float.

Shondor aerators can be
used in various system of biological wastewater treatment
and in different section including aeration tanks of
different forms (cylindrical,rectangular,...). And also
the floating type of Shonodor can be used in equlization
tanks. aerated ponds, aerobic digesters, and sluge
holding tanks. this unit can create a horizontal flow, in
Oxidation Ditch Systems it can replace the brush aerator.
These models of aerators are component enough to be
widely employed in industrial and domestic treatment
plants.
