.:. The Christine Corner .:.

This is a room dedicated to the songbird of Fleetwood Mac. She's so underrated, and her music is so wonderful - Christine just seem like an all around awesome person - so here's my tribute to the golden voiced songbird!

"She and I have a real valid kind of rapport between us, something that was there before we even met. It's like she can play the piano and I can play the guitar just wonderfully along with her. It's almost like parallel lines during our formative years of music until we met, and it gave us a lot of common ground." - Lindsey Buckingham, 1982

She does not want to come back to America; she doesn't want to leave England. She wants to have her life there, and Chris is so much more than a rock star: She's an incredible chef, she's an incredible artist, she's an incredible writer -- you know, she's fabulous Christine McVie. She doesn't want to go on the road anymore. Stevie Nicks, Barnes and Noble Interview, 2001

Christine very willingly gave me the stage, which I thought was very cool of a woman to say, 'oh she's five years younger than me, and I've worked for 10 years on the road, killed myself, and her she is, our new front woman!' It was incredibly big of Christine to just move out of the way--because I do tend to kind of animate around. I drive Chris nuts. Crazy! Chris will tell you that there were times in the last six or seven years when she was a little jealous. And I swear to God I never knew. She never let me know. Never one comment to the effect of 'I could really have done without you.' And I'm sure there were times when I'm flying around the stage in my gossamer chiffon where she had to think to herself, 'wow, what's this? Fairy school?' And never once did she make me feel like that. Because she knew from the beginning that I was real sensitive and that I love her so much that anything she'd say to me would cut like a knife. So she was always very careful." Stevie Nicks, Creem, 1982

"I wrote that for Chris when she and John were really seriously getting divorced... on the road, which was one of your larger, unpleasant times. And Lindsey and I were sort of the same thing, except that you know, when somebody else is going through it, too... one person gets strong and the other person gets weak. So you know, Chris and I would be constantly be like, 'Okay, I'm gonna be strong now and you can fall apart, and then she'll be strong and I'll fall apart.' And that was on a particular time when she was falling apart and I was being strong. I didn't want her to quit. And so I was trying in my little philosophic way to give her some strength and hold her up a little bit. You know, people are asking me about these dedications and I just really wanted everybody to know that I wrote that for my friend, Chris... when she was sad." - Stevie Nicks (about Think About It), 1981

Christine almost always delivered the hits. She's like an earth mother, and I'm her little sister. Stevie Nicks, Rock World, 1993
