AWARDS
Medal of Honor
- The Medal of Honor is awarded by the General of the Clan and approved by all field grade officers and above. The medal is awarded to a person who, while a member of the clan, distinguishes himself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in action against an enemy of the clan; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing clan or enemy; or while serving with friendly forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the clan is not a belligerent party. The deed performed must have been one of personal bravery or self-sacrifice so conspicuous as to clearly distinguish the individual above his or her comrades and must have involved risk of life. Incontestable proof of the performance of the service will be exacted and each recommendation for the award of this decoration will be considered on the standard of extraordinary merit.
Distinguished Service Cross
- The Distinguished Service Cross is awarded by the General of the Clan and approved by all field grade officers and above to a person who, while serving in any capacity with the clan, distinguishes himself by extraordinary heroism not justifying the award of a Medal of Honor; while engaged in an action against an enemy of the clan; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing force; or while serving with friendly forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing Armed Force in which the clan is not a belligerent party. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from his comrades.
Defense Distinguished Service Medal
- The Defense Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to high ranking officers of the clan, who perform exceptionally meritorious service in a degree of great responsibility or outstanding command in defense of the clan. It is rarely awarded.
Distinguished Service Medal
- The Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the clan, has distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious service to the clan in a duty of great responsibility. The performance must be such as to merit recognition for service which is clearly exceptional. Exceptional performance of normal duty will not alone justify an award of this decoration.
Silver Star
- The Silver Star is awarded to a person who, while serving in any capacity with the clan, is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy of the clan while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing force, or while serving with friendly forces engaged in armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the clan is not a belligerent party. The required gallantry, while of a lesser degree than that required for award of the Distinguished Service Cross, must nevertheless have been performed with marked distinction.
Defense Superior Service Medal
- The Defense Superior Service Medal is awarded by the General of the Clan to officers who perform exceptionally in defense operations or any other activity designated by the General of the Clan. The service rendered will be similar to that required for award of the Legion of Merit.
Legion of Merit
- The Legion of Merit is awarded to members of the clan without degree for exceptionally outstanding conduct in the performance of meritorious service to the clan. The performance must merit recognition by individuals in a key position which was performed in a clearly exceptional manner. The performance of duties normal to the grade branch, specialty or assignment and experience of an individual is not an adequate basis for this award.
SpecOperators Medal
- The SpecOperators Medal is awarded to any person of the clan who while serving in any capacity with the clan, distinguished himself by heroism involving or not involving conflict with an enemy. The performance must have involved personal hazard or danger and the voluntary risk of life under conditions involving or not involving conflict with an armed enemy. Example: Alerting clan members to imminent danger or a developing situation that results in the saving of a life or lives.
Bronze Star
- The Bronze Star Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the clan distinguished himself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, while engaged in an action against an enemy of the clan; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing force; or while serving with friendly forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the clan is not a belligerent party. Awards may be made for acts of heroism, performed under circumstances described above, which are of lesser degree than required for the award of the Silver Star. Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit or meritorious service. The required achievement or service while of lesser degree than that required for the award of the Legion of Merit must nevertheless have been meritorious and accomplished with distinction.
Purple Heart
- The Purple Heart is awarded in the name of the General of the Clan to any member of the clan who, while serving with the clan, has been wounded or killed, or who has died or may hereafter die after being wounded;
(1) In any action against an enemy of the clan;
(2) In any action with an opposing armed force in which the clan are or have been engaged;
(3) While serving with friendly forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the clan is not a belligerent party;
(4) As a result of an act of any such enemy of opposing armed forces;
(5) As the result of an act of any hostile force;
(6) As a result of an attack against the clan or a force friendly to the clan, recognized as such an attack by the General of the Clan, or jointly by the officers concerned if persons are wounded in the attack; or,
(7) as a result of military operations, while serving outside the clan as part of a joint force.
(8) By weapon fire while directly engaged in armed conflict, regardless of the fire causing the wound.
b. A wound for which the award is made must have required treatment by a medical officer.
Clan Medal of Valor
- This medal is a clan original and is awarded by the highest ranking officer of the clan. The medal is awarded for heroic courage when facing the enemy in battle. The medal may be awarded for acts which are of a lesser degree than required for the award of the Bronze Star. The Clan Commendation Medal may be awarded in conjunction with the Clan Medal of Valor. Both may be awarded or only one awarded. Enlisted ranks are not eligible for the Clan Medal of Valor award.
Meritorious Service Medal
- Awarded to members of the clan who distinguished themselves by outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement or service to the clan
Clan Medal
- Awarded to clan personnel for single acts of heroism or meritorious achievments while participating in actual combat in support of clan operations. The achievment must be accomplished with distinction above and beyond that expected of other members of the clan.
Clan Commendation Medal
- The Clan Commendation Medal is awarded to any member of the clan who, while serving in any capacity with the clan, distinguished himself by heroism, meritorious achievement or meritorious service. Awards may be made for acts of valor performed under circumstances described above which are of lesser degree than required for award of the Bronze Star Medal. An award may be made for acts of noncombatant-related heroism which do not meet the requirements for an award of the Soldier�s Medal.
Clan Achievment Medal
- The Clan Achievement Medal is awarded to any member of the clan, who while serving in any capacity with the clan in a non-combat area distinguished himself by meritorious service or achievement of a lesser degree than required for award of the Clan Commendation Medal.
Clan Outstanding Team Award
- Awarded by the highest ranking officer of the clan to teams which have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious service or outstanding achievement that clearly sets them above and apart from similar teams, the services include; performance of exceptionally meritorious service, accomplishment of a specific outstanding achievement, combat operations against an armed enemy of the clan, or clan operations involving conflict with or exposure to hostile actions by an opposing force.
Clan Combat Action Ribbon
- The Clan Combat Action Ribbon is awarded to members of the Clan for combat action service. The principal requirement is that the clan member must have been in a ground combat fire-fight, or action during which they were under enemy fire, and that their performance under fire must have been satisfactory.
Clan Comabt Readiness Medal
- The Clan Combat Readiness Medal is awarded to members of the clan for sustained individual combat or mission readiness or preparedness. Specifically, a clan member must meet the following criteria: Complete 6 months of sustained professional performance as a member of clan subject to combat readiness reporting. Be certified as combat or mission ready and have maintained individual readiness the entire period according to a superior officer, or subject to an individual positional evaluation program according to the General of the clan's standard. The term "Combat Ready" is defined as being professionally and technically qualified in weapons and tatics used in combat.
Good Conduct Medal
- The Good Conduct Medal is awarded for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity in active service to the clan. It is awarded on a selective basis to each soldier who distinguishes himself from among his fellow soldiers by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity throughout a specified period of continuous enlisted active clan service. Qualifying periods of service include each six months completed, for first award only. The immediate commander must approve the award.
Clan member of the Year Award
- Awarded to clan member designated by the highest ranking member of the clan. Only one ribbon is awarded. A bronze oak leaf cluster is worn on the ribbon to denote each past or subsequent award. The ribbon is awarded every August.
SpecOperators Campaign Medal
- The SpecOperators Campaign Medal was awarded for honorable service for active duty between 15 August 2004 and 15 February 2005. It was also awarded in conjunction with the Clan Expeditionary Medal for combat action on foreign servers.
SpecOperators Second Campaign Medal
- The SpecOperators Second Campaign Medal will be awarded for honorable service for active duty from 15 February 2005 to 15 August 2005. It is also awarded in conjunction with the Clan Expeditionary Medal for combat action on foreign servers.
Remagen Medal
- The Remagen Medal is awarded for service to the clan at Remagen and by demonstrating motivation and dedication to the clan in battle by following the orders of officers and senior elisted. The Remagen Medal may be awarded in conjuction with any other medal or medals of a commanders choosing.
Stalingrad Medal
- The Stalingrad Medal is awarded for excelent service to the clan at Stalingrad and by demonstrating motivation and dedication to the clan in battle by following the orders of the officers and senior elisted of the clan. The Stalingrad Medal may be awarded in conjuction with any other medal or medals of a commanders choosing.
Southern France Medal
- The Southern France Medal is awarded for outstanding service to the clan in Southern France and by demonstrating motivation and dedication to the clan in battle by following the orders of the officers and senior elisted of the clan. The Southern France Medal may be awarded in conjuction with any other medal or medals of a commanders choosing.
Clan Defense Service Medal
- The Clan Defense Service Medal is awarded for honorable active service.
Clan Expeditionary Medal
- The Clan Expeditionary Medal may be awarded to members of the clan who participate in a clan operation, in the opinion of the General of the Clan, in significant numbers and encounter during such participation armed opposition, or are otherwised place in such a position that in the opinion of the GOC, hostile action by armed forces was imminent even though it does not materialize.
b. The Clan Expeditionary Medal may be authorized for three categories of operations: Clan operations; Clan operations in direct support of the friendly forces; and Clan operations of assistance to friendly forces.
c. The medal shall be awarded only for operations for which no other clan medal is approved.
Clan Service Medal
- The medal will be awarded to personnel assigned to operations in an area designated by the General of the Clan for award of the medal.
Clan Outstanding Voluteer Service Medal
- Awarded to members of the clan who, performed outstanding volunteer service of a sustained, direct and consequential nature. To be eligible, an individual�s service must (1) be to the clan, to include the clan family; (2) be significant in nature and produce tangible results; (3) reflect favorably on the clan and it's soldiers; and (4) be of a sustained and direct nature. While there is no specific time threshold to qualify for the Clan Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (COVSM), approval authorities shall ensure the service to be honored merits the special recognition afforded by this medal. The COVSM is intended to recognize exceptional clan support over time and not a single act or achievement. Further, it is intended to honor direct support of clan activities.
Clan Longevity Service Ribbon
- Awarded to all service members of the clan who complete two years of honorable active service.
SOC Most Improved Ribbon
- The SpecOperators Clan Most Improved Ribbon is awarded to members of the clan who distinguish themselves by showing improvement on a continual basis and there by greatly improving the combat effectiveness of the entire clan.
Officer Advancement Ribbon
- Awarded to clan members who have advanced to Officer ranks.
NCO Advancement Ribbon
- Awarded to clan members who have advanced to NCO ranks. Corporals are junior NCO's and are not eligible for the NCO advancement ribbon.
Clan Personal Improvement Ribbon
- The Clan Personal Improvement Ribbon is awarded to members of the clan who distinguish themselves by individual training on a continual basis to greatly improve their combat effectiveness.
SOC One Year Service Ribbon
- The Clan One Year Service Ribbon is awarded to members of the clan for successful completion of one year dedicated service to the SpecOperators Clan.
Clan Service Ribbon
- The Clan Service Ribbon is awarded to members of the clan for successful completion of three months service.
Clan Training Ribbon
- The Clan Training Ribbon is awarded to members of the clan for successful completion of three months continuous training in the performance of duties.
