26 December 2005
Quote of the day:
"Ordinary people think the "Great Tao" is actually useless.
That everyone thinks it is useless, is proof of how great it is.
If it was the kind of thing ordinary people thought was useful,
it would have disappeared long ago."
Lao Tzu
Here's one of those kid's surveys from MySpace. As we're heading towards the end-of-the-year lists, I decided to do it. I did adapt the grammar though:

2005 I ...
{x} broke a promise - anything to do with writing to Nigel more often, yes!
{ } made a new best friend - no, sadly not
{ } fallen in love - not this year, funny!
{ } fallen out of love - not that I'm aware of...
{ } done something I swore never to do - I don't swear.
{x} lied - at work every day!
{ } stole
{x} been treated like crap when I didnt deserve it - I usually get treated very well. But that Monica occasion still stays in my mind.
{ } went behind my parents back - no reason to do so. Except you count stealing wine...
{ } cried over a broken heart - at least not mine...
{ } dissapointed someone close
{x} hidden a secret - for the first time! LOL
{ } let major feelings go unspoken
{ } pretended to be happy
{ } got arrested
{x} kissed in the rain - it's always raining, so that's very likely!
{ } slept under the stars
{ } kept your new years resolution - does passing out in the garden count?
{ } forgot your new years resolution
{ } met someone who changed your life
{ } met one of your idols - I don't have idols.
{x} changed your outlook on life - kind of, it's an angoing change and I think it's called ageing.
{x} sat home all day doing nothing
{x} pretended to be sick - yes, on October 10. But I was sick mentally.
{x} left the country - of course, and came back.  (which country?!)
{ } almost died
{ } given up something important to me
{ } lost something expensive
{x} learned something new about myself -  was being a manager, and I think I did quite well.
{x} tried something I normally wouldnt try and liked it - does Body Attack count?
{ } made a change in my life
{ } find out who my true friends were.
{x} made a total fool of myself - regularily, but most successfully on June 19. Anyway, it still could have been worse.

Good thing of the day:
It was a very good day, fulfilled and pleasant. I wrote Amnesty letters and even faxed them error-free, read a lot, customized a top, took a bath, had the house to myself most of the time...
