Quote of the
day: "Being an optimist after you've got everything you want, doesn't count." Kin Hubbard |
13:00
Amanda is off sick again,
but word about the "straight-desk
revolt" has reached her. Now she makes
it look like Muriel and I haven't "passed
on the message in a positive
way". Huh! I take all the blame if
necessary! But I know what Karin is
thinking, and it's my job to warn Amanda. She's
booked a meeting with Karin and
me. I think I have worse problems... ;-)
The interview phase has now officially been delayed until February 6th. The stuff I could do in the meantime...!
17:30
I've made a phone call
(!) and ordered the Zeit subscription for
Nicole. She'd better like
it!! The collection has yielded about 80
pounds!
20:00 I have been to the gym again.
Got to keep myself busy!
The cool-down song in Body Attack 51 is this
song Hope (by Faith Evans ?),
which always throws me... |
Got the
scanner from Stephen, and
it's working. However, I can't be bothered to
work much now. My
inspiration is lying a bit low at the
moment. No, I don't think I'm being soppy...... |

Annoyance of
the day: Investigating the "wrong URLs issue", I've discovered that the Microsoft WorkFlow does not overwrite existing entries -- it adds them as duplicates! It's no wonder then that the incorrect URLs still get applied after an update! The developers know about this. What kind of database would ever work like that?! So why does our most important WorkFlow TM work like that?! It doesn't make sense in the slightest...!!! Argh! This is exactly what I have been saying since the start of the project: Don't put the URLs in the TM! But does anybody listen to me?! Not yet... |
